Requiem By Black Artefacts

The Effect

You place a pewter coffin pendent down on the table and hand the spectator a small packet of laminated cards with blank backs. You tell them how a discarnate spirit is always able to find it's own coffin. The spectator has free choices as cards are elimated. When one card is left it bears the name of a famous dead person. the spectator opens the locket and glued inside is a picture of that famous person.

Cost

£25.00 inc UK postage from http://www.blackhart.co.uk/page65.html

Difficulty

1 Just follow the instructions and tell a good story. Simple as that!

Review

Well what can i say...keith has done it again! he has put together a very creepy routine that works in the real World. So let's start with what you get. Firstly you get the lovely pewter pendant. This is the highest quality and made by A. Gothic. So straight away you know how good it is going to look. The pendent comes on a chain and i have been hanging it round the lady's neck as i do the effect for a lady. The pendent is solid and the picture inside could be changed if you wish. You also receive the cards which will last you a long time.

So we come to the effect and the script. Keith has done a very nice performance script for this. I changed it a bit to make it more creepy but you will probably find you will be happy with it as it is. The entire routine is explained in clear, easy to follow instructions with illustrations. This is one trick that anyone can do straight from the packet. There is no skill involved and this is a good thing. why? because it allows you to concentrate on the story telling (which is all important with bizarre magick).

To get the best from any of Black Artefacts i feel you need to be confident at presentation and story - telling. So if you want to get into bizarre magick and 'test the water' then this is the ideal starting point. I have been using this both in a static show and table hopping. If you do a static show then i recommend you perform this by candle light.

Overall

10/10 because you can't fault the props, presentation, service or the price.

Greetings from The Black Hart

Folloeing the recent redesign of the Black Artefacts' website Requiem can now be found at: http://www.blackhart.co.uk/requiem.html

The catalogue is now a stand alone website and should be easier to navigate.
