Lulu Hurst: The New Georgia Magnet Act, Book
-Tom Jorgenson

The Effect: Book
Its covers a list of effects and acts performed by Lulu. Mostly “magnetic” effects and “power” effects. FYI, those looking for secrets this book does not really not cover many explanations.

Cost
No Idea

Difficulty
Well its for more advanced performers, and works best with those who have a female assitant.

Book Covers:
Starts off talking about Lulu in general and about the author- past stories, her act, what made her special, and about her powers.
Then it gets into “effects” that were performed in her acts (most of them are not explained), Its more about presentation and the effect its self. He does inform you where you can learn many of the effects though.
-Topological Oddities: Random effects
-Penetrations: Just what it sounds like.

Review:
I really enjoyed this book. Ever since I read about lulu in a book that I got as a gift I was rather hooked. This is one of two books I have about her and her act. This one is much more detailed, and really rather interesting. Granted it doesn’t explain a lot of “tricks” but that’s cool, I didn’t buy it for the tricks. There’s much more to magic than just the tricks- history, presentation, the act, etc. Its just really cool to read others opinions on acts and the tricks used, how they were used, should be used, etc. I would recommend this book to any one interested in history and/or Lulu and her type of acts.

Overall
Great 8/10.

I doubt many of the new kids will even know of her name.
I bet many of the oldies do know of her, or have heard her name, or of the act.
