The Ultimate Coin in the Balloon with Michael Bairefoot (DVD)

-Yes it’s a magic makers, but from what I can tell its fairly original.
But I didn’t buy it, I got it free in an old Promo, and I got a copy off eBay in a box just full of magic DVDs and books.

The Effect
Learn step by step how to perform the illusion of making a signed coin pass through the surface of a real balloon!

Then, as an added bonus on this DVD you will learn:
The Bairefoot Force - Learn how to make your spectator secretly select your desired card!
Rope Magic - Learn Michael’s signature rope tricks!
Torn & Restored Card - Learn how to magically restore a torn signed card!
Linking Cards - Make cards magically link together, then hand them out for full examination!

Cost: $30.58

Difficulty: between 1-5
Coin in Balloon- 2/3
Force- Basically the classic force
Rope Magic- 3
Torn Card-3
Linking Cards-3

Effects:

The Coin in Balloon;
Great for parlor, close up, stage, kids, maybe even buskin. You have a person mark a coin, and visibly push it through in to a balloon. For added flare you make it spin around ‘magically.’
I have only performed it a few times and I get great reactions. You can even give it away, so they leave with more than just a memory. Take a little preparation and basic sleights, but not much.
rating- 8/10

Force:
Basically his version of the classic force. Nothing too special.
rating- 5/10

Rope Magic:
Teaches some rather neat effects with a piece of rope. He teaches them very well, and very smoothly. I perform some of them as a small opening for certain escape shows, or at fund raisers.
So great so kids, buskin, stage, close up.
rating- 7/10

Torn Card;
Ehh, there are better torn cards out there. Its not bad, but not the best.
rating- 5/10

Linking Cards;
Nice little effect, where you link two to three cards. Rather interesting.
rating- 6/10

Over All Review:
Overall this is a decent DVD, teaches some decent effects. When presented and performed well, one can get some major reactions. Even though its magic makers, its something I would recommend for those interested in starting kids shows or parlor.

Rating:
7/10
