Escapology with Dixie Dooley Volume 2
Handcuffs, Shackles, and Straight Jackets (DVD)

Cost: $34.95

Effects, rating, and difficulty:
Rating 1-10
Difficulty 1-5

On this volume you'll learn:

Escape from any Handcuff- Not really what you think, it isn’t perfect or for any/all cuffs. He does teach some basic, rather easy methods for the basic handcuff used in America. A quick in/out routine, ways to hide the keys, and very basic picking. Rating 5

Kellar Rope Tie- This is a great classic tie, can be used for various escapes or performed on its own, as a challenge, or even as a comedy act. He also teaches two versions in performance/method. Rating 8 / Difficulty 2

Bamboo Torture Device- A nice little escape, well its not really an escape, more of an illusion/escape. But it can be presented as one. He teaches you not only how to perform it, and shows a live performance of it, he also tells you how to build one. Rating 7 / Difficulty 2.5

Shanghai Shackles- The oval ring premise. You can either buy one (penguin sells it) or build your own with a welder and some chain. Its great for tons of escapes, large, small, even comedy acts. Rating 8 / Difficulty 2

Straight Jacket Escape- He really doesn’t cover this very well, he shows how he escapes from his jacket, which is slightly different than others. So don’t get this just for the SJ escape. Rating 4

Suspended Straight Jacket Escape- He doesn’t teach it, just basically talks about it, and shows a live performance of his.

Generating Publicity - He covers this fairly well. Its information one needs to know, to get into this business. Though a little bit more information wouldn’t hurt.

Overall it’s a decent DVD, its good for a starter in Escapes. These DVDs are a nice foundation for the beginners. Teaches some great escapes, and goes into detail about them and their performance; showing not only how to do them, but many times shows a liver performance, and goes into the history a little.
