Why can't I get this from Amazon or any other "new and used" seller on Amazon? Is the distribution restricted to magic only stores or something?

I ordered my 13 steps from magictricks.co.uk - you're quite right, though, that it does seem to be fairly scarce, outside of magical suppliers.

It's a specialist book (although available from Amazon in America)... most magic/mentalism books are quite specialist and obtainable only from a magic dealer.

I sold mine a short while back.. now I have re-bought it for £12 ..

I missed out on the bargain of the year just recently. Live at the jailhouse sold for £10.50 on ebay and I mis-entered my max bid as £10!! so lost out by 50p!! :x

That would have been a mega bargain!!

This is the reply I received from book depository when I found out that
Sleight of Mind was unavailable and usually this provider carries a good stock and always a couple of pounds cheaper than Amazon.
e.g. Mind Magic 6.19 pounds delivered to Germany

Dear Rod,

I am afraid that we are currently unable to advise as to when new stock will be available. Our stocks are dependent upon those of our suppliers and at present, no information regarding this title is available.

I am very sorry that we could not have been of more assistance in this matter.

Thank you,

Tom

I paid over 30 quid for mine but by far, the cheapest I've seen it is here:

I find it difficult to imagine that any magician ,whether amateur ,
professional or enthusiast would pay that price but who knows !

I really love this book and am looking forward to getting it. I'm trying to start to get into more mentalism. I have always been somewhat timid when it came to the matter tho. O well

Shome mishtake shurely?

Maybe a signed one would fetch ten times that amount but it must be a misplaced decimal point.

Corinda's still alive, you know. He lives in dotage somewhere in Cambridgeshire under his real name of Simpson. He got out of magic and made his cash in property.

I agree totally Bananafish, for I also was planning on reviewing this book. I love this one along with my complete copies of Jinx, and of course, Mind, Myth, and Magick. All three are with me by my bed. Well, these and my stuffed Winnie the Poo, of course.

This is a wonderful book and I highly recommend it. I particularly like the last few chapters for it is always good to review presentation no matter how much you have studied it.

Love,

Amanda Angeli
