Yep. "The Alchemical Tools". I'll write a review, unless anybody has beaten me to it.

Blapsing_Beard wrote:Serial, Killer:Now, this is the main reason why I brought the manuscript...to find out how this bloody serial number reading was done. It...is...lovely. So clean, and (in my personal opinion) very easy and workable. There is obviously a method to this...but you don't even have to do it yourself! Hell - I don't! But this isn;t to say there are any stooges or helpers during the effect...there isn't.

It's a long time since I watched the online video of this effect, so my memory is vague. I did come up with a theory about how it is done - my theory involves the use of a stooge, although not, strictly speaking, during the effect. Obviously it would be inappropriate for me to describe my theory here (although it's probably wrong) but I would describe it privately in response to a PM.

the serial number doesn't need anyone but yourself, though you can enlist the help of somebody if you wish.

This isn't everyone;s cup of tea, but I know I have used it!

The new book is excellent. FULL of gems. HIGHLY recommended.

Serial Killer is an excellent effect and I regularly use this at weddings and corporate events. Absolute killer as the name suggests. No stooges at all.

I have to agree. Serial Killer is superb and in my opinion a worker. It is easy to set up and could easily be done more than once at a function. It is not entirely impromptu but will look like that to the spectator having the effect done on them.

I appreciate it is not for everybody. Get over it. Try it and see.

Anthony

Very important question... Can serial killer be done with euro notes or is it an exclusively UK trick? Or could it even be adapted with effort?

it can be done with any note with a serial number. It is not an effect for everybody. You cannot do it at a moments notice. You have to have planned to perform it

Cheers. I was just checking it wasn't a progressive anagram sort of things that only works on UK notes.
