I performed RGM yesterday for the first time.

I wasnt sure it would work as I only received it a couple of days ago.

But I had performed a few successful mentalism effects that went down really wellm so I thought Id go for it.

The girl I did it for nearly started crying.. she was absolutely silent.. then she said '' I don't remember. Why don't I remember?' I thought she was just playing along.. so I asked her for the colour. SILENCE..

After a while.. she said ' I just remember diamonds'

She had in fact seen the 6 of hearts.. the reast of her friends screamed in delight.. but i saw that in fact she was disturbed by it.

I put my hands on her shoulder to re-assure her.. and asked her to concentrate and it would come back to her.. but it didnt.. she couldnt think.. eventually she tried to insist she had seen 7 Diamonds but she never had.

I went through the suggestion process again and told her she would be fine as her friends thought that I had hypnotised her. I told her she may not remember the card but she would NOT be affected by what had taken place..

She smiled at me but then tears started to roll down her face. I felt so bad. But she assured me she was fine and it was just that it was emotional for her as she had never experienced anything like this.

I love this routine. It is SO strong.

I think I might actually try to develop on this. I would like to, if possible have the spec write the name of someone close to them, or maybe a random word. Have them sign the business card.

Then suggest that they forget the word. Imagine how strange it would be if a lady forgot the name of her husband... imagine how deeply disturbing that would be for the spectator!??!! Thats where I want to take this.. eventually.. maybe Im being a little ambitious.. but its a goal!!
I thought the grass might be greener on the other side and so bought and Xbox360.. I was right!!

RGM is a wonderful effect (I don't have Skullduggery, I learnt it from 7 Deceptions) and has never failed me. It gives you plenty of scope for building an atmosphere and verbal suggestion.
I bought a similar effect called Hypnotrick which is the same as RGM in effect except the card can be signed, but the method is way too obvious and no amount of misdirection will cover this.

RGM cannot be bettered and who needs the card signed anyway. It's one of the best thing in 7 Deceptions, alongside For Andruzzi and makes me realise that I really should invest in more of Luke's material.

I bought this DVD some weeks ago and only just put it in the player this afternoon. I was impressed with the material and I agree with Lord Freddie that these two appear to be the best of a good bunch of effects.

I'll study both of these in particular and I can;t wait to give them both a run out

I'm glad you purchased it. Just remember that these effects will take time to master. I mean a lot of time. If you practice and practice and finally master the effects, you will have some of the most hard-hitting material around.

I really want to buy Skullduggery but I don't know anything about suggestion so would it be best to get another book on suggestion as a starting point or does he teach it well enough in the dvd?

If I recall the dvd is based loosly on 7 Deceptions which is probably cheaper (booklet) might be worth going for that first if you don't want to spend too much on something you might not get on with. The effects don't completely rely on it however.

I would quite like to get 7 deceptions but i can't seem to find it. Thanks for the help. What would be the best place to go for the basics of suggestion?

Have you tried typing '7 DECEPTIONS LUKE JERMAY' into Google? I just have & about 4 sites selling it came up. Consider this your first lesson in suggestion. Use Google.
