The Effect

Imagine handing a spectator a torn page from a random book, you then ask them to imagine a fictitious scene in their mind building it up piece by piece. The spectator is then instructed to read the page, which has been in their possession throughout. Imagine their reaction as it dawns on them that the printed page accurately describes the scene they had created in their mind moments earlier.

Best of all there are several extra subtleties hidden with in the text! Could this be genuine mind reading, could this be psychometry? To find out you will have to read “Between the Lines”.

Review

I saw this advertised/Reviewed in Magicseen this month(bi) and loved the idea of being able to perform a piece of Mentalism utilising a script that someone else has prepared. (Lazy!!)
What you get:

1xBooklet explaining IN DETAIL what to do.

The Effect described above is exaclty what this does/can do. When you first read the instructions it is worth putting yourself in the spectators shoes and noting your own responses. It WORKS! - you do have to have an understanding of the subtleties but these are all explained in the booklet which comes with the effect. I must stress again though that this does need time to work through to ensure that the suggestions required are placed at the right times. You are provided with the script to follow and there are several additional effects (described in the booklet) which can come into play from this. As you become more used to the page then you will also be able to add in different suggestions to really re enforce the piece.

The package itself is great and professionally printed and for the price is a fantastic piece of pocket mentalism. I have performed this once properly to two people - both had slightly different images and both sets of images had 'the right' impressions and could both be quantified in the text!!!!

Overall

I would have to give this a solid 9/10
Pocket sized.
Nice to use when you have 're enforced' your magical powers
Lots of fun - though I would have to say that I would pick the 'right' type of people to perform this to.
