What they say:Partial Contents of Mentalism Incorporated

• Eight Guidelines for Performing Mentalism for Corporate Audiences Discover a practical strategy for building a corporate mentalism act. "These ideas alone are worth the price of the book" says top mentalist and author Barrie Richardson. The first fifty pages of this book give you an "inside look" at what it takes to make a mentalism act entertaining and believable for a corporate audience.

• Three Kinds of Pre-show Work Discover what needs to be done before walking on stage to make a corporate mentalism act more successful and amazing.

• Chuck Hickok's 45 Minute Corporate Act (Six Proven Routines with Complete Instructions and Patter). Learn how to demonstrate your ability to perform amazing instant mathematics, influence people's selections, read people's minds, teach others to read minds and then close by predicting the future. These are not routines Chuck used to perform --- these are the exact routines Chuck uses today to earn a living!

• Three Bonus Effects - Learn what to do when your client wants more! Learn how you can teach an entire audience to say the alphabet backwards in less than five minutes. Learn an entertaining way to have someone accurately read your mind. And learn how to perform a truly amazing and believable memory demonstration.

This is a 185 page hardcover book with a four color dust cover. And no card tricks!

What I Say:

The Book- This is an excellent book wich delivers exactly as promised. The effects can performed "as is" with patter included, but you wouldn't actually do that would you? There are a few of the routines that will require you to make an additional purchase or two if you wish to perform them as they are presented, such as the MOABT, but Chuck lists all supplies needed and where you can get them from. If you are seriously considering performing for a corporate event of any kind, then this book is a must. If you took out the 45 min. act that Chuck Hickock performs and bought it strictly for the professional advice contained in the first few chapters, then you would still get your money's worth.

Cost $60 + $3.00 S&H in the US and $60 + $10.00 S&H outside.

Where I bought mine:www.chuckhickok.com/book.html

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

3= There are some sleights used in the effects, but these are easily mastered. However, Mentalism requires a special type of performer to pull off the show. If you have stage presence, this book will help you capitalize on it.

Review - Mentalism, Inc. Volume one is simply one of the best books available for the Mentalist who is intrested in Corporate shows. If you are not intrested in that venue, it is still an excellent resource to measure the impact of your existing show.

Overall 10/10
