Sticky removal

Postby Miles More Magic » Dec 4th, '07, 23:55

I noticed that I have to scroll down almost a page now in the miscellaneous forum. There are so many stickies in there now. I know they were put there because they had information in that was important, although some of them could be "unstickied" (unstuck, what IS the correct term?)

There is one on scams, which though useful, are covered and updated in the Doves Head.
There is also one on the Tsunami relief fund, I think.
I just think that if some were taken down, the important, up to date ones will be noticed more.
Mods, just an observation, not a criticism.

Edit.
Just looked again and saw that the TM competition sticky is another one unused for a couple of years.

Thanks Mandrake.

I've got to admit to being lazy. I tended to scroll through the old stickies and suddenly realised I wouldn't notice any new ones. Looks clearer now. Thanks again.

(Mandrake mops his tired old brow, shakes a few remaining cobwebs from his robes, returns the broom to the cupboard and, after all that hard work, slowly climbs the stairs of Mandrake Mansions to his private study and gently snoozes in front of the fireside.....)

I am always here....and if there's a party, I'll have an obscenely large Gin and Tonic, one ice cube, with a freshly cut wedge of lime rather than lemon, thank you.

PS Should we make 'Sticky Removal' a sticky  ?

No, you'd only get some awkward s*d complaining there's too many stickies. :D

My suggestion is the complete opposite of the actual topic, however I'll post it here to save starting another thread.
My suggestion is: Could the "innuendo bingo" thread and perhaps even the "pink and fluffy" thread be made stickies in the dove's head. My reason for asking is that they're so popular, and it does sometimes get annoying to have to scroll down to find them if they haven' been used in a few days.

If they disappear down it is because nothing new has been added and consequently unlikely you would want to open it again. As fun as they are - I see no reason to make them stickies.
