The spectator is given a deck of cards and asked to cut the deck anywhere

Hmmmmmmmmmmm... where to begin on this. Again a great release from Mr Madison who has resisted the lure of selling the rights to a big money making magic production company and has kept it as underground and low key as possible. As always MagicShop.co.uk have a good download and the booklet is clearly written, lay-out superb, pictures top-notch etc etc. Very good indeed.

To lay my (no pun intended) cards on the table, I prefered the bonus booklet 'THE FINE SCRIPTURE' that came with the download that is an insight on producing some great magic with a sharpie (or other brands of marker depending on preference). My biggest concern with performing CUT is that you need to ensure good audience management to ensure the secret is not openly revealed. Having practiced it and tried different handlings I am concerned that you need to have the right spectator (which is true for many effects I know)... I just feel it will become a bit too much DO THIS, DON"T DO THAT, FOLLOW MY INSTRUCTIONS etc... which can take away from the great effect that Mr Madison has created. Now I know I will have others argue to other side and will end up using this quite alot, my initial reaction is it's great deal of set-up for a couple of tricks. If you have an old deck or two lying around then this effect will find a good use for them!!

I look forward to hearing others opinions and hopefully brainstorming over other uses of CUT, and wil hopefully be converted in the near future to using it.
