Hence, 13 Steps is written in the traditional manner as the secret books of wisdom from the past. Those who are meant to understand its hidden messages and wisdom will see what is written between the lines & use the knowledge to enrich their own lives and the lives of the audience. The imagicians ( great name!) and the mentally lazy will allow it to collect dust. If it were up to E there would be a dvd version coming out for the illiterate. Perish the thought!

Guess not liking the secret infomation in this tome makes me

A) Stupid
B) mentally lazy
c) Imagician

Hmm I wonder what you lot would be like if you saw your first copy of playboy. The mind boggles.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

And people accuse mentalists of being pompous. Perish the thought.

Messy?

i don't think it makes everyone either a/b/c, but it does mean, in all honesty, that they're missing out on alot of info that is often used today - but each to their own... :D

alot of stuff for sale; a single effect im talking about can go for double of the price of this whole book - its just the presentational angle that has changed - thats not knocking them, but you'd just save alot of money if people re-read each chapter, bit by bit, take the mechanics of it all and go from there...

but then again - me and tomo are going to work on a presentational ebook soonish that takes some of the effects from 13 steps and Annemann's work - and change the shirt/tie/top hat of it all into something different...i certainly wont be tinkering with the mechanics if they're nice and simple to use...why fix what aint broke eh?

anway - each to their own!

What's wrong with a shirt, tie, top hat or, indeed, a cravat?

These young oiks in baseball caps, hoodies and trainers could learn from 13 Steps how to dress properly, even if the mentalism in it puzzles them.

There's much to be said for dressing like you've just stepped out of a by-gone era. It can be quite eerie and disarming, especially when presented with much conviction and with the right material.

Or indeed "I, Magician" which was a rather sordid period drama broadcast on BBC2 in the 1970's.

Surely you're thinking of "I and I Magician", the splendid reggae outift?

That is not what I said. Not liking a thing & not understanding a thing are not the same. But then interpretations are biased by the mind of the reader. I still say that E caters to the lazy, and you can quote me on that. Cheers.

13 Steps is a great book for an overview. However, I do not think a reader will be able to master a fair number of the “steps” from this book alone. I think it is a product of trying to cover all aspects of mentalism in one book. You just don’t get the required depth in some areas.

OK. Throw your stones. I can take it.
