Would like to give my honest review of the effect. I feel cheated by the original reviewer giving this 9/10. For what? The bag? The cards are printed off and laminated in a very home-made way, and the 'secret' of the effect is terrible. I would genuinely give this product a 3/10, 2 for the bag and 1 for the cards, which could be used, but definitely not professionally, unless you want to lose work. I will not be following the advice of your reviews again, and it begs the question that anyone and everyone is posting their views, from a position of no authority. In fact, I don't feel that I can stay on this site, I am so disgusted. This is a down and outright con, at £17.50. Mine is for sale, immediately, at a loss - yet again! These people are cleverer at creating misleading text, than they are at creating magic effecs. If I have insulted the 'dealer' of such rubbish, quite frankly, good! You have insulted me more than you'll ever know, sir. No more the fool. Yours, Mr. very unhappy. How do you sleep at night?

Odd. I was quite impressed really, and as I mentioned before the concept can be transfered to other items such as the major arcana or photographs. Perhaps it's a presentational thing. I haven't used this professionally yet, but I will in one form or another and I assure you that I wouldn't if I felt it was going to lose me work.

I already do an opening routine for stage work that involves jumbo zenner cards so perhaps I already had a clear idea in my head where I could go with this routine.

Hmm. I don't want to sound in any way patronising, but Gary, drop me a pm and I'll give you some ideas for beefing up the presentation. Might help?

Thank you for the offer, Paul, but honestly, I am fine with presentation, patter, etc. and thank you lozey for the advice. Keith, judging by your comments, sounds like a nice guy, but we are of a very different nature, and most likely see the magic world from very different perspectives. I guess I should have known what I was buying into, what with it being of the mentalism variety (not knocking mentalism, by the way). I wouldn't be so cheeky as to ask for a refund on any magic effect. That's the excitement(??) of buying magic products. It was the review that sold the effect to me, and I just took it for granted that the reviewer was an experienced mentalist, as opposed to a close-up magician. My mistake. I have thought of lots of ways of using these, but they look like something that a student magic hobbyist would be using, in my opinion (not having a go at students, either), and not the tools of a professional. Maybe they are strictly a stage effect, but I wouldn't like to pigeon-hole the effect. For all of you that are reading my posts, and considering against purchasing the product, please read all of the other posts first, before deciding whether to buy it, or not, as I am sure that you will have a more positive picture than my isolated opinion is painting. I do not want to damage the business, or reputation, of Black Hart, or of Keith. The final decision always has to be your own.

i don't know anything about the product so I won't comment on it except to say that all this reminds me of something I read in George Anderson's excellent book "Magic Digest"

He pointed out that one customer will think a trick is the greatest thing since sliced bread and another will think the same product stinks. In other words what suits one person will not necessarily suit another.

I expect when Keith sees your post that he will offer you a full refund. However sometimes it is wise to play with things a little longer to see if you can make it work for you.

I take it Gary that you did not like 'Syncronicity Plus'! :)

The answer is very simple - send it back and have a full refund under our guarantee- I really can't say fairer than that. Well I can actually - even if you purchased it more than 90 days ago I'll still give you your money back!

Indeed, I thought that I'll simply arrange the refund in any case. However I can't find the name Gary Williams on our customer list and I've checked the invoices for Syncronicity and Syncronicity Plus and the name Gary Williams doesn't appear there either. It may be that someone purchased the effect for you so If you would like to contact me directly kh@blackhart.co.uk or telephone 01862 850009 we can make the necessary arrangements.

Don't feel bad about it though, it's all part of our customer service.

All deleted by Mods.

Gary, you have had a most reasonable offer yet continue to insult a respected supplier of specialist magic effects. TM is not a place for you to air your personal rants or the unacceptable and offensive posts you made over the weekend. Add to that your choice of language which is totally against forum rules and personal attacks and you can see why you are no longer welcome at TM.
