Er, 'Arrival' was on yesterday as well  .....but still an excellent series which was so way out at the time that it hasn't dated much at all. I have all episodes on VHS tape but no doubt they're on DVD as well for a reasonable sum.

Yup, every Wednesday and Thursday for the next 17 weeks. I'm a very happy bunny. I keep meaning to get them on DVD as my old VHS copies are well and truly unplayable, but there's something very special about seeing them on the steam powered broadcast-type telly.

Oooh, Rover's just absorbed a malcontent...

PS Did you realise that from his date of birth given in Arrival, The Prisoner would be 80 by now?

I love The Prisoner! My aunty bought me the box set for my birthday ages ago, I remember I pulled a sicky for 3 consecutive days just so I could watch it back to back!

Should prove to the Lost crowd that confusing your audience isn't a new game... my goodness, do you remember the last episode? Almost psychedelic...

Bah, Lost. Amateurs!

Apparently, George Markstein wanted the last episode to reveal that The Village was in fact the idea of No. 6 when he was younger. He'd suggested a retirement home for secret agents who carried a lot of information useful to an enemy. The problem was that they turned it into a prison for extracting intelligence and when he got there, No. 6 had no idea whose Village he was in. Then again, it might just have been a daft story they made up. You never can tell.

Mind you, with all this surveillance we live under in the UK, maybe we're already in The Village. Did you know that if you stand outside George Orwell's London flat, you can be seen by 32 cameras?

I'm looking for a show. I don't know why I didn't think of asking you folks earlier. I don't know the name. My brother and I used to watch it all the time. I hardly remember the premise but I remember we used to sneak into the living room late at night to watch it. And it was most definetly on BBC.

It took place on this island. I think they were spies who were kept on the island because the gov't was afraid of who they would tell what they knew. I remember one scene where the 'star' tried to leave the island by boat (and here is where it gets a little strange) there was this big white ball type thing chasing him.

As I type this the title you mention on this thread, "The Prisoner' sounds more and more like it might be it.

And while I am at it,

And can anybody tell me if Red Dwarf is still being made, or any plans to make more. I can honestly say I'm not a fan of British TV but then it seems some of my favourite sitcomes are british. I can't get enough of Robin Hood. Red Dwarf is one of my all time favourites and Keepin Up Appearances almost made me believe there is a god and perhaps humanity is not doomed! Because it is one of the funniest shows ever, too bad there are not more. Or at least the American's don't buy as many. In Canada there seem to be more runs of these then here in the USA.

Okay that answered the first part of my question. After I hit submit and was updated I saw the two posts before mine. Now I have to run out and get the DVD's.
