odd title for a mentalism/mental-magic book..but regardless of that - I got this earlier this week, still not had chance to go through it all with a fine-tooth comb, but I thought it was worth a mention...

if I were to say to you - pay me $30, or £15, and I'll give you 30 effects back...would you at least be interested? I was...and that's why I got the book...

as I say, not had chance to read it thoroughly enough to give a complete review, but I will say this, it covers:

a larry becker based gun/russian roulette effect..
a colour and esp test combined
a two phase lock and key effect
a wierd thing with old coins and battered tarot
and the rest are all equally offbeat and kinda give you a few different paths to go down, some are psychologically dressed, others are a little bizarre in nature - others are tasty little experiments to entertain your crowd...even one effect to do with football and the world cup!

you will need to buy simple items for some effects, and a few require you to make some things too - nothing though, is expensive, hard to find, or difficult to make...the two items I made up took me less than half to hour to make a few of...

there's also a few that use photos, paper clippings, songs, empathy between couples as well as some good old card work that treads the border between canasta/knepper in presentation...there's even a couple of psychologically based routines too...oh and a banknight routine too...there's even some dual reality around...

now, what I love about this book, is that all due credit is given right away to anything similar, or based upon..very well done for that...also, its nice to have a nice big shiney a4 sized book on mentalism for a change...

Another good touch is that Andrew Regnauld has also supplied useable b&w photos to help you with a few things, as well as offering different presentations for the effects too...

I'm actually very impressed by this book, something I got on a whim as it were...extremely good value for money - nice and varied, and useable as far as I can see...i'll be tinkering with a few of them over the weekend...

extremely good value for money!

Thank you kind sir.

The book has been project that started off over three years ago, which has culminated in this release after a bit of encouragement.
I set the price low because, although I think highly of the effects within its pages, I realise that I am not a 'name' within the industr yet, and need to build up some trust with people in the community first.

If anyone wants to know any more details about the book, then feel free to post questions here or PM me.

Yummy, yummy, yum, yum, yum-yum!

I have waiting for this for some time now.

Guys, just buy it.

This is full of clever thinking, real workers, practical effects, fun props and gaffs, real-person approaches and plenty of imagination.

I just hope my first volume has half as much material and "bang-for-the-buck".

Let's see, £7.99 for a tired reworking of a single effect as a download from a magic site or £14.99 for nearly 30 effects all of which are fully thought out, real entertainers put together in a lovely book fresh off the presses... go on, read my mind!

If we can hit that bullseye then the rest of the dominoes will fall like a house of cards... Checkmate!

Lulu is a site on which you can self publish a book, be it an ebook or propper hard copy. IT's a print on demand service, which means you have to wait a few more days to get your book, but the finished product is excellent quality.
If you do decide to take the plunge, then let me know what you think.

I've bought a few printed books from lulu and can confirm that the quality is excellent, in fact very often better than some mass printed books in terms of print, font and layout. The longest I've had to wait is 8 working days from time order placed to time of arrival which isn't bad at all!

It is an impressive service.

Lulu is a bit like "MoonPig", the online greetings card company if you have heard of them.

Its now only available exclusively from alakazam as an ebook. And it costs £9.99, not the £15 it was on lulu for.
