Well in truth I know very little about this magician, bar the few trick demos for his DVDs and his jovial praise in the Art of Astonishment from Paul Haris. Hardcore is a word that springs to mind, but other than that I'm in the dark-and would very much like to know more about him! His performance seems timid, for such a man with great skill, yet so undeniably likable and amazing. His apparent lack of confidence is so baffling when you realise his amazing skill...

Watch his video " Impossible Card Magic" it's lives up to it's title.

I do believe that Mr. Kosby has stopped performing magic (however, I am not too sure how long ago) which is a great shame because he bought incredibly creative and ingenius-method tricks to the magical community. I am not sure what he is doing now, but I have his Impossible Card Magic DVD and his Raise Rise is a thing of pure beauty. I cannot do it and I haven't really attempted it, but i will when my hands grow a little.

He seems very nervous, but I think that's just on DVD, lots of performers get nervous on DVD. His moves are spotless, which is slightly odd, as you would expect him to perhaps flash a couple of moves because of his nerves but no.

I admire him for his skill and his incredibly creative mind, this is all I have for the moment and off the top of my head, but i might have something else later on...

Thanks again,

Alex

I just attended a Lecture of Ray's here in Las Vegas. Ray admits to being more or less a Magic hobbyist...yet, it is undeniable...he still has the "chops" after all these years. Ray Kosby is also set to Lecture in the Midwest here in the States within the next several weeks. So, perhaps he is trying to get back into the fold...full time?! Now, that would be the best thing the Magic World could hope for!
