Shoe't by JB Magic

Postby Mark Waddington » Dec 30th, '03, 20:18

Effect: You perform an ambitious card routine,im sure every one has one. You cut the selected card into the pack and stop dead. You reach for your shoe, take it off your foot and show the audience that there is a card inside. You reach in and the card in your shoe is there signed (if you wish) card!

Price:£14.95 0nly available from JB Magic

How easy to perform:(1 easy, 5 finger busting) 1

Review: A brilliant trick to perform and an amazing gimmick. You cut the gimmick to your shoe size and your away. Please be warned that if your feet are smaller than size 5 then you wont be able to perform the effect.

Overall: a great effect but i dont think that what you recieve is worth the full £15. It is available in red back bike design or blue.

!!!!!!!!!!!!You wont be dissapointed!!!!!!!!!!

That's quite cool that somebody has come up with something to make that easy, I would be interested to know how, interesting.
Brad Christian (is that his name?) teaches this routine without the gimmick and obviously it's a lot harder but the effect looks good, it has me racking my brain (don't worry not much brain to rack, it wont take long) now :)

I guess the question is, if you are talented enough to do the AC routine does the gimmick really help? Be interested on your views.

I think it does help the routine as it is a surprize ending that no-one expects. Seeing your signed card appear in someones wallet is something special but seeing it appear in your shoe is beyond belief!

Cool, I'm glad you like it, it's nice when somebody is blown away by a gaff/trick/routine they buy.
Tom is good for that, lol, he is good at knowing what he will like before he buys it :) Unlike me.

What else do you get with it, do you get any routines for example?

Thanks for bringing it up, I am sure I am not alone in thinking the AC routine could do with some help lately and this sounds good.

Not really any ideas for different routines but you get ideas to make the working a bit easier.

I've just watched the JB video on emagictricks - is this not really worth the £15 in the same way that to buy Crazy Man's Handcuffs isn't really worth nearly a tenner cos all you get is a photocopied A4 booklet?

Do you see what I mean? When I first got CMH, I was gutted that I'd spent a tenner on it and only got a badly put together book (one page was upside down!), but it has paid for itself in 'Wow' and 'What the F***' factor when it comes to performance.

By the way, does anyone remember me posting about being asked if I was single after performing CMH? I'm going out for a drink with that particular person's colleague tonight!!!

Thank God for Michael Ammar!!!

I don't like this effect. The gimmick you get is fine and well made but there are far better versions out there that do not require you to wear a gimmick. For example, the Get Bent DVD has an excellent version which is impromptu. Also with this version the shoe cannot be examined or even shown properly once the effect is completed.

Not impressed

Is this effect not possible with a top palm and a card pre inserted in shoe?

Technically it's possible to do it with just a top palm.

These examples where the Shoet gimmick isn't used - can they still be achieved with a genuine signed card?

Yea, it's all slight of hand.

Have a look at my earlier post on this and then think laterally.

OK searched Shoe't and this is the first one that came up

I wore this the first time and the card "slipped" from the glue, the 2nd time it was unusable completely.

Any ideas on the best glue to use to repair the thing properly so I can rely on the thing.

Also is it available with a left hand shoe fitting?
