Comments

This is a great DVD - Mr Lam starts from the very beginning - how to hold the parasol correctly when in the closed and opened positions. He then moves on the flourishes and then moves into the production of the parasols. Everything is explained very slowly and clearly to give you the best chance to pick up the methods and techniques quickly and easily.

Other items you will need:

Parasols and Parasol Scabbards also available from Mike Danata

When ordering from Mike please be aware that he takes holiday at both the beginning of May and around Christmas time so there may be a slight delay in shipping of your order although he always emails or telephones to let you know what is happening. I am very pleased with Mikes service and will use him again and again.

Looks pretty cool from the demo, out of interest how mobile can you be while the parasols are loaded? Is this an opening type effect or something you could go into halfway through an act?

I agree Bronz that looks seriously good. I'd love to know as well how practical these are and how free you are to move while "loaded". I'd hate to put in all the practice time and money to end up walking about like a stick man for 1/2 an hour

Can anybody please help me? I'm having terrible problems controlling my streetmagic- I can't walk down a street without turning into a pub.

It depends where the parasols are loaded - for example:

The sleeve procution needs to done as an opener (but you can produce one and then move on to something and then come back and finish the routine)

The trouser production makes it very difficult to crouch etc.

The other places that they're loaded are fine to be done half way through the routine as long as you dont jump about like a mad man.

I agree with Wills - all in all i spent about £130 on the dvd, parasols and scabbards. But its totally worth it!!

Cool thanks for that. One last thing, do you have to use the parasols he provides or can you just take the loading and production methods and apply them to your own apparatus?

So they have to be self opening then?

Yes, otherwise the production would look too slow and obvious!
