Nice. When I saw "Packs small and plays big" I thought it said "Plays small and packs big" and I got very confused.

Thanks for your interest in Smart Ass,

Hocus-Pocus is taking pre-orders which will ship in approximately 3 weeks. www.hocus-pocus.com

Other dealers (internationally) will be able to order the package from Murphys Magic Supplies after that.
www.murphysmagicsupplies.com

Let me know if you have any questions.

Smart Ass has been in my working repertoire for awhile now and I have performed it for every type of audience (kids, adults, teenagers, etc.) and in every conceivable venue. Built in entertainment AND is adaptable to just about any style of performance (serious mentalism, fun for kids, corporate audiences, etc.).

Peace
Bill Abbott

Barton: Yeah.

Errmm *scratches head* :? .

..... you know how us "magis" can sort of work out how 99% of tricks may be done etc (even though we may not necessarily have the ability/expertise to do some of them) .... well I have absolutely no idea how this is done and I'm already looking forward to a review of this  .

*Adds "Smart ass" to list of pending purchases* ..... sigh my poor credit card  .

QUESTION:
If we can sue McDonalds for making us fat and cigarette companies for giving us cancer; why can't we sue Smirnoff for all the ugly gits we've sh*gged ??

I'll admit, this has got me really intrigued... it's the fact that everything is done face up which makes me curious... I'm just slightly worried that there are some hidden annoying limitations because I feel like it can't possibly play out like the video without some major catch...!

Bill, do you have any videos in which you perform this from start to finish with no video editing...?!

if this is anything like the workings that whent on with the thing and chiko the chimps mind reading act then it bound to be a classic, obviosely works best as a finisher.... but what a finisher, especialy if it plays out as seen with no funny bits.
i've yet to be diapointed with any of bills products but this one almost seems to good to be true.

"slightly worried that there are some hidden annoying limitations because I feel like it can't possibly play out like the video without some major catch..! "

The beautiful thing about Smart Ass is the complete freedom you have as a performer, in actual performance. They toss stuff around and you still come out on top. A bullet-proof card force. On the DVD I give ideas on how to perform with 'less mess' using things to have the participant throw the cards into, etc. The performance 'LIVE' is the same as the performance in the clip (you can't slow down time of course, like we've done when the participant throws the cards!) but everything you see, is what you can actually do.

Cheers

I have to admit that I share Farlsy's concerns. If they can literally throw away whichever packet they want each time then perhaps it's a load and a force at the very end, which is still intriguing as to exactly how you would do it. Hmmm! I'm very interested.

Also, assuming it is a force, then the whole "sit on a large card" thing is just shtick, right? You could just as easily write a card name on a large pad of paper and have it play out as a serious mentalism effect instead of a comedy routine. That would appeal to me a lot more.

I would be interested in this if you could confirm one small detail, either via a PM or on here..Does it rely on a repetition on stacks, if so..as they say in Dragons Den..Im out.
Many thanks!

Queen of Clubs:

You can have the prediction written instead of using a Jumbo Card.
I have had the prediction as a classified ad in the newspaper. You can frame it as intuition, mind control, etc. Definitely not limited to a comedy presentation.

Dave:

Does not rely on a stack. In fact method is so surefire and straight-forward, you literally do not have to think about it. Just focus on presentation, script and audience interaction.

Sincerely,
Bill Abbott
