Easy same as me sagittarius!

Doesnt like being told what to do....Like to state their claim on thing, hence signature with the tree also...

Are very stable characters but have to prove that to themselves hence the size of the tree "look at me look at me"...

Creative (in both life and sexuality) experimental!

Hmmm... I've been doing Tree Readings for decades and you'll also find mention of this idea in Richard Webster's book COLD READING VARIATIONS... ironically I actually learned this method from a well known "occultist" some years back who is known for his love of Jazz and the Gypsy aspect of pagan tradition.

Tree Readings have served me quite well within the Corporate and College market, especially when one is willing to push a midday Luncheon filled with a true sense of Character Analysis and levity.

BTW... the retail giant Wal*Mart uses this and similar profiling methods with their employees during the hiring and brainwashing (training) process.

If this stuff particularly interests you, you might like to know that Sean Waters' nice ebook 'Ponderings' has some details of readings based on the apparently long-established House-Tree-Person test, where someone draws one of each.

That's pretty accurate! And I am Saggitarius, too. I don't think there's any way you could have found that out, either, because I don't have my birthday on file here... but maybe I'm wrong.

Impressive trick.

I thought it was a trick, too. So it's a proven science then? To be honest, I assumed it was a cross between the two.

neither trick nor science...

its along the lines of graphology, palmistry, tarot.. or even "the cube"..

it's just an interesting "thing" to learn in my opinion...

you get people to open up about themselves in a fun way, instant rapport, genuine interest...all from a drawing of a tree...

makes a change from "and your card is....!"

Yep, it certainly sounds like fascinating stuff. Might have to pick this one up - great ice-breaker I think.

There is a "science" to it in that there are some strong psychological "cues" one can find within the drawings such as the directional flow of the lines and how certain elements are defined. It really is a "tool" used in the real world for evaluating employees or possible team members as well as in clinical situations in which clinicians are trying to better understand a patient. This is especially true with children and the study of their art work.

The "trick" to it, at least in my experience, is one's ability to sell it via performance, as a fun and unique mode of amusement. My Gypsy Tree Drawings have never failed me when it comes to generating an on-going sense of rapport with both, business clients and (of all things) the college student crowd (who seem to love it)... but then if you combine elements of a personality roast into the Reading you get the synergy of laughter and finger pointing from within the group as everyone agrees, snickers and has fun. The same dynamic can be achieved in Graphology sessions but for some reason I've always done better with the Tree Drawings over ANY alternate reading system when it comes to the issue of Amusement in conjunction with a Character Analysis.

I do believe it is very important that we distinguish in the mind of the participant that what we are doing with this sort of thing, IS NOT the same thing as a Tarot Reading. Though we can add humor to any Reading system (Astrology being one of the more fun, along with Phrenology) it is demonstrations that take on the more analytical point of view -- Character Analysis -- that prove more practical as a commercial product/service for the business world. Because such things don't have the mystical element tied to them they prove a sound course of direction for the more cynically inclined (and anally retentive).

Just One Last Note... I've used my Tree Readings as a lure to midday luncheon gigs for nearly twenty years now; it is something I talk about in the Psychic Technologies compilation. Though it isn't a source for making big money it is a vehicle that can help you come up with that extra little bit of pocket cash by using the down-time you would normally be going through as a means of pulling in an extra $60.00 to well over $300.00 over a casual midday lunch. As such, it's an awesome means by which to open the door for on-going engagements with the same group; in essence, using the luncheons as a marketing tool that pays for itself.

Sorry for referring to it as a trick - I didn't know that gets up people's noses, hehe. The reason I said trick is because I know full well that he didn't really "connect" with my mind, and the month you're born in has nothing to do with the type of tree you're likely to draw, so he either guessed my star sign, or did some research and found my birthday out, which I'm sure must be on the internet somewhere. Hence trick.

I'm just massively cynical about these things. Maybe I should pick this book up!
