I've just learned that Martin Nash has bone cancer. It sounds like thats a tough one to treat. It seems that the magic world has lost alot of our famous magicians lately. Tommy Wonder, Bruce Cervon and Herb Zarrow. I hope Martin Nash makes it, he is a great cardman and I like his style. I don't know much more than that. Maybe you have heard something more than that.
Best

Hello Al,
If you haven't seen this then it might be of interest:

From what little (alas) I've seen of Mr Nash, he's a great card worker (his soft shuffle is really neat) and seems to have a lovely presentational style. He looks a bit like George Brassens too, which I think is quite cool.
Let's hope he makes a speedy recovery.
Max.

Martin was one of my favorite performers to just simply sit down and enjoy. He was a true gentleman and every bit the epitome of what a "Magician" is supposed to be when it comes to attitude and how the public perceives him.
I was quite fortunate to have spent as much time as I did around Martin. I wouldn't say that we were "friends" but I was most certainly a fan during his annual visits to the Castle.

Last I've heard, Martin is at home and resting. I don't know what that really means but, if you wish to send him a good cheer card I'll post his address here.
Martin Nash
Apt. 203-155 Cheney St.
Parksville, B.C. V9P-1P2
I know he would appreciate hearing from all his fans.
Thanks

Hi Al,
That's a nice gesture form yourself.
Are you sure about posting his address though? We can't really vouch for the trustworthiness of all of the anonymous lurkers here on TM.
I hope Martin has a speedy recovery.

Martins telephone and adress is posted on another site and I did not give the telephone # here is because I believe he would appreciate the cards and letters more. As for lurkers, they can do something nice and send their best and wish him well.
Cheers

I met Mr Nash a few times while living in BC he was always very nice and very generous. And of course he really is one of the huge names in magic while I was growing up. So for me it was like meeting and icon. I can verify that he lives on the 'island' as we say in BC and Parksville is on Vancouver Island.

Hey everyone
I read on another magic talk site that Martin is doing ok. They did not say what the treatment was but I guess they caught the cancer in time and he will be alright. Of course there will be alot of follow up to make sure it stay gone. He does have some memory and physical problems but despite that he would still love to hear from you.
Cheers
