1-4, you can use it right out out of the box, but there are also some advanced things you can do with it.

Review

I rated it 1-4 as once you have watched the DVD you will be instantly thinking up of many ways to incorporate the gimmick to enhance you routines

The Gimmick -
The gimmick is really well produced, works exactly as it should and can be used to do all sorts, from rising cards to transpositions colour changes, haunted deck routines etc etc. There realy is a lot you can do with it.

With out going into to much detail about the gimmick, one thing that i like about its is you can fan the deck and show all 52 cards clearly while still concealing it but in plain view, like wise you can handel the deck almost as if the gimmick wasn't there!

The DVD - well produced, some very nice effects, flourishes and all well explained. Instructions for making you own gimmick are nice and clear.

Worth getting the DVD & Gimmick rather than just the DVD, as you can get started straight away.

Final Word

9/10 - although its almost a perfect 10 only downside is the deck is not 100% examinable whilst the gimmick is in place, how ever those with good card handling techniques will surely be able to work a way round this!

I quite like the look of this.

Are you able to easily to move from one effect to another and make a routine using different effects shown on the dvd or is there reset time?

The reset is instant.

at the moment I have been doing a few simple card tricks, with the pack, while doing this I chucked in a quick revlation where i prettend to be looking for their finger print with the deck fanned across the table and i give it a good search, and find their card. this removes any doubt which is a bout to come, i then flip over the fanned deck and get a spec to pick a new card (or get a new spec to pick a card)

gather up the deck and then do a revlation using the gimmick. al with out needing to do anythign to the deck as its been set up from the start.

alot of people have seen the rising card, so I show them one with a difference, where the card launches out of the deck, or i also like the card spread where their card also removes its self from the deck and goes accross the table...a quick morp from a random card into theres is also good...and.....

i could go on and on! realy enjoying this at the moment and im not a pro, so im sure those who are pros will find even more uses for it

Fantastic gimmick and dvd :)

The gimmick is very simple. You can spread or dribble the cards and it won't be notice.

I like very much the effects presented on the dvd using the gimmicks, and the other effects included as well.

Definately a 8.5-9 out of 10 for this.

However, do note, there are no verbal explanation on the dvd, nobody 'speaks' to explain the effects, it is shown to you, I would say it is clear enough. But if you are a total beginner, it could be a bit difficult to follow some. If you already have the basics, do check this out.

I enjoyed it and would use it.

thanks for adding that, I should of mentioned that nobody speaks in my review!

I think its great gimmick which im sure a lot of people will find other uses for, and ways to include it into other routines.

Is it possilbe to riffle shuffle the cards with the gimmick within? Or the other way around: is the gimmick rather stiff or can it be bent?

Yeah you can, but a little bit of card control then it would be possible, may wish to follow it up with a quick cut to make sure the cards are completely mixed.

gimmick is rather flexible, I made my own last night so that I can practise with it, while its not perfect, does the job, a bit more rigid than the gimmick I bought with the disk but still works really well!

Question for someone who has this. If the gimmick is in place with the card, and is cut to about the bottom third of the deck, is it sufficient weight to stop it from coming out? So would you be allowed to be hands off and let the card stay in the deck?

(I already know what the gimmick is. I am checking to see if it can be used with another effect)

No, KingJeux...

The deck does really need to be held in quite a firm grip, wherever the gimmick is. There is no way (without a lead weight !) that you could put the deck down while it is 'loaded'.

- As for my personal views on the DVD and gimmick, I think the gimmick is incredibly, simple, clever, and useful, however the DVD is just too repetitive for me, however I do like the idea that it doesn't just give you 'tricks' to perform, but leaves you to your own devices...

This is untrue. There is a way and is shown on the dvd, the trick is called NTDS.

I did not like how the dvd was done. I don't think the tricks were shown well, the lighting/colouring was weird, and I felt it was quite rushed. I am going to have to watch the dvd several times stopping it alot, as I like to practise along with the tutorials.
There also seemed to be more flourishes and ace productions on the dvd than anything else. Or maybe I just all the repetition of ace productions confused me.

I worked out the gimmick before I bought it, but was hoping it would be something much better. I wish now that I had bought the dvd on its own, as I have all the materials, but then again I can now, knowing this is the gimmick, make more for different coloured decks.

I am very mixed about the whole dvd and gimmick. I do like it, I like the effects and if I get my head around the dvd, I'm sure I can do some good things with it. But watching it just made me regret buying it. Maybe I will feel different tomorrow after watching it through again and playing a little more.

I am not familiar with that trick, but I find it difficult to think this is possible now that I picked up the gimmick. It is so strong I can barely hold the deck square. Kind of mixed feelings about it... Maybe the strength will wear off? As for right now it is just sitting in my drawer... hopefully i change my mind with this

Did you pick up the dvd too? It is the one where he places the bowl over the deck.

I am thinking of making a less strong version. It might mean that it will cut down some of the effects it can do, but it could be easier to handle.

Not too often I really dislike a gimmick but I have to say that is the case with this. After watching the DVD the only real purpose of it that caught my eye was it's ability to... "remove" the card from the deck a la Deckscape. But even then I am not performing sitting down much. I don't like this at all, but I'm sure some people do. I bought the gimmick for 30$ last week, but will sell it to someone who is interested for like 20 if you want.
