It may be a good idea to allow only registered users access to the Sinbin. Not in the same way as the 'Restricted Area', just normal registered users. Do you agree? Here is my reasoning...

I noticed recently that a newbie user posted a review as his first post. This was a glowing review for a magic product, and it aroused suspicion from several members. Obviously this could have been placed as a sneaky advert by the seller.
A moderator placed this in the Sinbin until further investigations were made.

However this still allows any internet user to search for a review of this prdoduct, and quite innocently come across our 'Sinbinned' one.
In other words, TM is still being used to advertise and is therefore still being scammed. Nothing is really achieved by placing it in the Sinbin - it is still available to the masses.
And that goes for all of the other c*** (not the best) in there.

If the Sinbin were only available to registered users, this would solve the problem twofold: Firstly, search engines like Google would not pick up upon these pages when they trawl the internet and therefore would NOT appear in innocent searches.
Secondly casual users would not be able to view these pages if they were stumbled upon accidentally.

Hey Presto, the TM forum is no longer being taken advantage of, and the Sinbin becomes a genuine 'quarantine' area that is a bit more secure.

Any thoughts?

Mark

You two Ladies should get out more often, then again you live in Kent so that explains a lot.

I am master of misdirection, look over there.

We are not falling out young Welshy, we are debating, I think farlsy is an idiot he thinks I am one. We are just talking about who is the bigger idiot.

Ill have you know that us "ladies" of kent are poisonus when we bite.

Best not to aggrevate ! Or you'll be looking for anti-venon.

On a side note though, the word chav originated from chatham in kent !
(Im way further south than that !, although Lommie................ lol)

I think most of that could go in the old bingo thread.

I thought "chav" came from the Romany for "boy".

When Colin was growing up in Poole in the 1940s, "chavvy" was the local slang word for any child.
