From Nothing - Kevin Parker

The Effect

Ask someone if they want some fruit for free. Hand them a plastic bag, they see nothing in it. You say "what's wrong?" They say "it's empty." You say "No it's not" and take it back and stick your hand inside...suddenly they start to see an apple 'materialize' FROM NOTHING right inside the bag, WATCHING right through the plastic and actually SEEING the apple slowly materialize! Apple is handed out for person to keep and eat! Sounds too good to be true. A Kevin Parker creation.

Review

This look intruiging so I thought I'd give it a shot. Not a huge fan of some of his other products, this is actually surprisingly good! The method made me laugh when he explained it, but it works well. As said in the difficulty, this is something that can be performed very well after a bit of practice. The misdirection is perfect for the trick and it cleans up very well. I am always looking for good On The Spot ([/greg wilson plug]) magic and this fits the bill perfectly.

Overall I don't know where you are from Kevin but you have a funny accent! haha. That aside, he teaches this well. He was kind enough to offer this advice: "If you have any problems with the effect, feel free to rewind the tape and watch it as many times as you need to."

Joking aside he has made a very quality trick that requires the purchase of something very inexpensive that you likely already have. Great trick for all venues, especially close up and will leave your spectators very stumped. Thanks a lot Kevin!

I think he has a Georgia or South Carolina accent. Not sure, but nice review I was tempted to buy this. So it sounds like a nice effect, still not convinced but I'll look into it a bit more.

Thanks for the review,
Ian

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.
