Its with regret that i post the sad news, that Past magic circle secretary Chris Pratt died yesterday, after a long battle with cancer.
Chris served as the Secretary of the Magic Circle for twenty years and was a member of the SAM since 1982. He was truly gentle man and a good magician. The magic fraternity has suffered a great loss.

I didn't know Chris, but I remember him on the Magic Circle Record in the very early 80s.
RIP

I've put the details on the celebration of chris' life that will be taking place on the 22nd August here:
http://hcms.org.uk/index.php/news/1-lat ... -2008.html
Further to the sad news of the death of Chris Pratt, details for the private family only cremation and a Celebration of Chris' life are:
Date: Friday 22nd August 2008
Time: 15.45 Location: St Marys Church, North Mymms, Herts
The plan for the day is a private, family-only, cremation service earlier in the afternoon, followed by a Celebration of Chris's life at St Marys at 15.45, to which everyone is invited.
Details on how to find St Marys church can be found at
http://www.stmarysnorthmymms.org.uk .
Family flowers only is requested, but if people would like to make a donation, they can do so to either The Isabel Hospice, or Marie Curie Cancer Care, who have both helped to look after Chris.
Donations can be sent to the funeral director at the following address: Chas. A. Nethercott & Son Ltd 150 Darkes Lane Potters Bar Herts EN6 1AF Please write Christopher Pratt on the back of any cheques.
Chris requested that black ties should not be worn! We are celebrating his love of life. After the service, tea and cakes will be served in the Parish room next to the church. There is sure to be a very large attendance. Chris was loved by so many people and will be sadly missed.
