Hello everyone.

I have just finished reading the Royal Road Card magic book and getting my card skills learnt a lot quicker than I was expecting. Although theres always always ALWAYS room for improvement.
With the tricks I have learnt from the book i have started thinking of other card tricks with my own ideas and patter which seems to work very well with the people I have already performed to.
I dont really want to mention to much about what the trick involves but it uses palming. But i thought during one of the performances wouldn't it be a great thing if i was able to transfer the spectators signature onto another card. (pref. Joker card)
Is there anybody with any ideas of where to start with an idea like that? I'm wrecking my head with ideas but nothing is happening... Its come to a point where a fresh mind is needed otherwise i'll either have to knock the trick on it's head and call it a day and come back to it at another time.

Do a forum search on 'crystal method', as this may be exactly what you're looking for!

I'm pretty sure there is an effect on the market that can allow you to do this!

I'm sure other TM members will know more about it and point you in the right way

That reminds me, Taffy, ole' chum - I have an upcoming review for 'Night & Day', an evil, visual, borrowed coin pentration through glass...the coin can actually be seen, travelling upwards through the bottom of the glass!

Must get that one up asap - you're gonna love it!

Theres a trick on Matt Dowdens Party Animal called MST where a signature appears to jump from one card to another.

It uses a couple of tricky moves however. These may not be in your skill set yet but if your flying as much as you say you should crack it in no time!

The DVD is still well worth buying for all the other tricks and also how to present your tricks/audience management. A good long term investment I think!!

Thanks a lot for ALL of the usefull information and Taffy warning me about Rob lol

But seriously the information that you've given me (this goes to all of you) helps loads, but going through the trick and the idea I have is just a little out of my league still at the moment. My ideas are far more advanced than what my skills allow at the moment, so i've decided to stick with what I'm good at and develope up to the idea i have in my mind.
There are still a couple of little kinks that need to be worked at with the signature being moved from one card to another.

I'm not to sure about asking this question since being a newbie on here? But, if anyone may be interested in what my idea is and would like to work out the kinks and iron some creases for this idea to work then please PM me and i will discuss further.
Going from that I am an honest person (as far as magic goes lol) But I will give credit where credit is due!

The is quite a nice effect on Sankeys "Revolutionary Card magic DVd" where a signature moves from one card to another one.
It is very esy to achieve and the end result can be handed out for examination.
Can't for the life of me remember what it's called but the DVD itself is excellent
