Number forcing

Postby Chris » Aug 28th, '08, 15:29

Heya, Ive currently got a prediction effect Im working on, but part of it requires a number prediction....Its got to be clean so no T.T writers etc...

Wers a good place to start ?

If possible I would like to cards selected at random and this makes the two digit number ?

Queen of Clubs, Hands of fate could be used to accomplish this. PM her and she'll give it to you.

Or Fulves has a book on number magic.

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

Have you got Annnemanns 202 methods of forcing? A whole load of different ways of forcing numbers available in there

what about a force using a paperback book?. You can easily force a page number based on the same principle as the r****e force with cards.

Karl Fulves has a good force for the numbers 14 or 15 in his self working mental magic book where the spectator genuinely cuts the pack themselves.

How about a forcing matrix?

There really are an awfully large number of ways, aren't there!

THere's one where you use a cloth to cover the deck, have them cut anywhere & when you lift the cloth the force card is showing. Taught I think on a Daryl dvd but not sure of the origin off the top of my head.

thats the in the dark force.

not a great one in my mind, because you introduce a prop,( the hank) for no reason.

better just shuffle two decks, retaining the top card, and performing a slip force.

what about the number 9 force?

you know that one?

you just tell your victim to write down 4 digit number for example; 7654

than you scramble those like this; 4567 or any order

you substract the second number from the first number and you have a new number

if you add all the digits of that new number you will ALWAYS end up with the number 9. always.

it seems really like its totally random at all.

so i havent totally read your post but you could put your force card or whatever your forcing on the ninth position.

i hope that helps!

Banachek also wrote something about Forcing a number. But unfortunately it is not 100% reliable but still very good. PM me if you wanna know where to find it.

Criss-cross force: "We'll just take the cards above and below the cut. Above is the first digit..."

There are, of course, loads of forces of single cards that will also work for two cards together.
