Hi one and all...
Has anyone been to see Richard De Vere's new show at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach Horseshoe Bar called 'Beyond Belief'?
I thought the show was OK - some of the illusions were repeated, a large dog ran off the stage and into the audience before completely disobeying Richard, he told several really bad jokes (of 'Scottish man, an English man and an Irish man' variety) and there was a rather large middle-aged woman singing and doing stand-up. It was all very bizarre indeed.
But here's the best part - before the show started, a fellow that worked in the Horseshoe Bar came round and took pictures of everyone in the audience. Then, DURING THE SHOW (in fact, during one of De Vere's better illusions) the guy came back round the tables trying to sell the pictures - I couldn't believe it! How unprofessional is that? If I were De Vere I would completely kick-up a stink about this! I mean, they could easily sell the pictures at the end of the show. This left a really bad taste in my mouth indeed!
