Thanks for sharing

I've no idea on the history of the guy or anything but the video itself is pure comedy

Some q's...

Is it possible to hypnotise someone in a busy place, such as a noisy crowded bar?

I appreciate there is an ethical viewpoint to hypnotism, but are there any legal issues to consider? i.e. do you need a license to perform, or do you just need a license to perform on stage?

On average how long does it take to master the techniques in this book? Will I need to read it four times and practice on people for weeks? Or is it possible to read it in an afternoon and get my wife under before bedtime?

I'd love to learn, but I wouldn't want to earn from it, just enjoy entertaining friends and colleagues. Is this book for me?

Thanks in advance for the responses.

Chris.

-- PS, last question - does hypnotising people ever become boring? It sounds far too much fun!

Yes, so long as they can hear you and you can fix their concentration on what you are saying and doing.

It is my understanding that general entertainment and performance licences are applicable.
Although, if you are entertaining friends and family, I don't see this as a performance in the legal sense

If you digest the information well and get a good idea of your script and are then able to deliver confidently then yes, I believe that you can go straight into it. You may only get as far as the Set Piece or basic instructions but there is no reason why, without the correct application, you can't be hypnotising after one thorough read.

There is no doubt, however, that re-reading and continued practice will improve both your skills and confidence.

Absolutely! I can't recommend it enough for your needs.

I can't imagine it ever being boring - unless your imagination ceases to exist.

Hope that helps somewhat.

Had my 2nd little bit of success yesterday ! I managed to stick my mates hand to his leg :) He said he couldnt even feel a connection to his arm let alone feeling it but just not being able to unstick it. I then tried to stick his other hand to his head but that didnt work and when i tried to stick his foot to the floor that didnt work either :( I then woke him up and put him back to normal.

So having only tried it on family and friends my score is 2 successes and 3 fails.....need more practise but dont know how to get it withought trying on randoms, do i carry on trying on the 1's that it didnt work on ?

Had 2 more fails today :( (Mum & Dad) Remember beardy saying on the posts from the other year he couldn't do his flat mates, is my only option for effective practice and results to practice on randoms ?

I don't do hypnosis much any more (I got bored...) but when I do I have pretty much 100% success rate.

The trick is, when people say "can you do it?" just say "yes". When they say "I thought it only worked on 10% of people?" I normally say "B0llocks - they're the sh!t ones. I can hypnotise anyone". Ask Denmark Kilo or Madelon on the forum - they have seen me at work.

Don't do it on your family - odds are it won't work. They know you are new to it. Go out, perform, and be cocky. It works.

It's true. Just be THE Hypnotist.

Rule 1: Eliminate fear (your own)
Rule 2: KNOW it's going to work for you.

I've got a girl at work who wants to be hypnotised next week. I've said I've learned from Anthony Jacquin, famous hypnotist. I have, technically. I've said I've been hypnotising for years. I haven't. SHE now expects to be hypnotised, and I KNOW she will be. Like Beardy says; be cocky. Even if you're not confident, make the illusion that you are and BE confident.

And Beardy - how come you got bored?

Mate, if you want the easiest route into hypnotism without all of the usual fluff then seriously you should submit to CUPS on this occasion.

ANd just email Anthony. He responds quickly, is genuinely interested in your hypnotism experiences and is a sound bloke to boot.

You need this book mate, the feeling of waking your mate up and him not being able to lift his arm off his leg no matter how hard he tries is unlike any magic trick ! It really does become a obsession quickly. I can only imagine how it feels to go invisible or any of the other harder things to do.

Can confirm that not only did Anthony take the trouble to email whilst abroad, but called me when he got home away

Seems like a top bloke, and has been so helpful with everything so far

Without a doubt, one of the finest books on the subject. However, my personal opinion is that I highly recommend the manchurian approach dvd as a reference point. I found after watching the dvd and studying the book, I started getting much better results.
