This should have been named “Close-Up Card Magic” because they are all card effects which I had to watch twice because I fell asleep during the first viewing. The effects are all easy to do and Mr Normansell could have included some of the false cuts and counts he performs which could have been beneficial to the audience to whom he is directing this offering.
This is a studio recording performing to a single patient spectator hopefully not in a single session for her sake.
Random Revelation
A flashy four card production by a series of simple cuts. An intro into say a four Ace effect.
Twisting Dai Vernon is Normansell’s take on the classic "Twisting the Aces" making use of the standard Elmsley but also the Hamman count with a kicker surprise ending where all of the cards instantly turn face up.
Jazzing is is version of the Macdonald’s Aces using ordinary cards.
Masquerade 2 is a sort of Wild Card effect.
Jumping Jack Flash is a card sandwich routine which I suppose in real life would be performed to three spectators.
Packet Classic is an ambitious card routine.
Forced Option is a cute spectator finds four of a kind.
Subtle Speller allows you to spell to all four aces.
Strange Interchange is a four cards to pocket routine.
Double Barrel is a quick and easy two card location.
Quicksilver. Coin finds a card using a self made gimmick.
Drop Out uses a Nudist Deck for a quick gag.
Three & Easy is a card to pocket and wallet effect.
On the whole not much to write about. There is no ground breaking stuff but if you are fairly new with cards, the effects are on the whole a good stepping stone.
I again had problems with the script too many errrrrrrrr´s. That and the repetitive use of the word deck to describe the pack of cards did stop my enjoyment of the tape.
