Hiya everyone!

Just though i'd come and say hello to everyone before i start to join in with you guys here at TalkMagic.
I've put myself down as an amateur hobbyist (?) and thought i'd tell you a bit about myself.
I've worked on a holiday park for the past two years, mainly with kids. Having met many many cabaret magicians, i am now keen to learn and currently hoping to build up an 'act' of some sort, hoping to join them on the circuit next season.
My last magic purchase was 'The Royal Road to Card Magic' book, which has taught me many things, and makes me kinda popular in the pub and wherever i go with my bicycle deck!
Like i say, I'm looking to put an act together, aimed at the darling kiddies, so hopefully this will be a place where i can learn new skills and find out more about the people they call 'Magicians'

hi zack.

i guess as the resident childrens mage and coin worker then i say welcome to the board and my door is always open for any advice and suggestions i can humbly give, fell free to pm, mail or even phone as required.
most of the people on this board are competent card workers so they are the best people to contact regards royal road, theres lots of stuff on the threads about cards so dig in, anyway happy hunting and check the for sale section there may be a few items up your ally :wink:

BIG HINT FOLLOWING:-
Age and Status in your Profile
To help other members form a more visual picture, it would be nice to include your age and 'magic status' as a small signoff in your profile.

We're standardising this to an additional bit of info in the Location panel in your profile... and the format is

(??A : ??S) where as the ??A = your age, and the ??S = your status, chosen from the list below...

EN = Eager Newbie
AH = Amateur Hobbyist
SH = Skilled Hobbyist
WP = Working Professional
CP = Career Professional

So, for example - your Location could be

"Kent, UK, (30:WP)", meaning you're a 30 year old working pro...

This is NOT obligatory, but may help during conversation!
