Psychological number force, and some ideas.

Struggling with an effect? Any tips (without giving too much away!) you'd like to share?

A bit of comedy with a failed number force is always good fun imho. Real world example:

I was performing a Bank Nite effect (specifically Bryn Reynold's Your Lucky Nite) and had 5 numbered envelopes. While I didn't need to force number 3 I added it in as an ad-hoc thing on the spur of the moment. Writing down '3' on my clipboard and showing it to the audience but not my spec I asked "Do you have a lucky number between 1 and 5?"

"8" she replied which recieved a giggle or two.
"No, between 1 and 5!"
"4"
I just threw the clipboard to the floor and shrugged my shoulders with a cheeky roll of the eyes, "I can see this might not go as planned". That statement got another laugh and managed to increase the tension for the upcoming destroying of envelopes, one of which of course contained another spec's £10 note.
