The Dragon

Postby rivered » Aug 9th, '09, 09:48

I agree with most that has been said about the dragon. The instructions are poor but the link you are given to a web site is very helpful, just wish they could expand this site to show some vids that would help with technique and give a few tips.
Not sure what the other refills are like for similar devices but what is supplied is good but wont last long, this wasnt a problem for me as i searched the web and found 300 refills for £5 inc p&p.Should keep me going awhile.
One of the best bits about the dragon for me has to be the loop which allows very easy hook ups in front of the audience ,is this unique to the dragon? and if not and can it be bought separately ?.My raven would also like a loop.
I did consider the gecko but i think i made the right choice buying the dragon.

sorry it took so long!!!
this my review!!
the dragon is not even worth a fiver, never mind £30!!
instructions are rubbish, the video link provided in the instructions does not work or exist
and you need to buy refills so you can use it which are quite expensive
all of the bits were missing out of the package which was ripped open(the packaging was a plastic sandwich bag!!)
and the thing that annoyed me most was that I wanted my money refunded which was refused!!
by the way,you could make the dragon your self!!!

you would be better off buying the gecko by jim rosenbaum
it costs a tenner more but is of much better quality!!

I'm sorry: :?
This review totally lacks credibility. The link does work I checked also. And while it does come with only a few refills they are totally cheap, and available at any craft store. And false you don't need to use 2 refills to make it? You only need a half of one if you wish to use it as a vanishing device only.

On the contrary the quality of the product is very good IMO. So what if it is in a plastic bag? What does that have to do with anything? Some of my favorite effects came exactly this way. The instructions I found very detailed 3 double sided pages of instructions with photographs. And the video link to even show how to set it up properly if you can't read English. The Dragon has taken me a bit of practice to learn, but then again so does all good magic...

In an effort to keep the cost down I would rather see less refills, and a plastic bag, rather then an inflated cost.

I give this product 3 1/2 out of 5 stars...
