Does this look like a glorified Pull to anyone else?

Barton: Have you read the Bible, Pete?
Pete: Holy Bible?
Barton: Yeah.
Pete: Yeah, I think so. Anyway, I've heard about it.

It does indeed.

And it all looks horribly unnatural in the video...

I bought one, and at first was a bit disappointed. Because, it takes quite a bit of work to set up. They explain in the instuctions that hand size varies from person to person. So additional work is needed to set it up. Yeah yeah whatever!
But here is why It warmed up on me. With a little bit of practice. It can be set to use without looking, and that is a huge improvement on past devices. And then to appear as if you vaporized the object is quite unique. I agree the performance on the video clip which I found on youtube was weak. And the audio on the explosive part doesn't do it justice. It's loud!

I couldn't find them online anylonger? Which I thought to be unuasual? Does anyone know where it's selling now? :?:

Awesome trick...

Postby NexusMagicShop » Feb 21st, '09, 11:57

I agree with Ted over all it's one of the best I have seen come around in a long time. I carry it in my shop, and so far I have had great feedback.
Your right though T it is a pain in the *rse to set up. The distributor told me that he has created an instructional video now to help in setting up the trick correctly. I didn't have too much trouble setting up mine, but I can see where some may run into trouble... Overall a unique effect! Does anyone else have one? :?:

I have to say despite my issues setting this thing up it is quite versatile. So, I would say it has actually grown on me...

When I clicked on the link it took me to Penguin Magic, but the page said that the product had been discontinued. I thought this was one of the current hot tricks?

THE INSIDE SCOOP
I know exactly what happened. The large distributor who agreed to carry the product hosted the product on their website for one day. And as they hosted the product the many magic shops around the world instantly received the dragon. After this one day the owner of another very well known product called this distributor, and threatened to remove his product if the dragon were to continue to be distributed. The distributor caved to the strong armed politics and pulled the product. Leaving people to speculate that the product was inferior, and discontinued. Which is the contrary the product is very well made. And now available through Jason until he can find another distributor.

The trick will be distributed by Jason Ring himself.
I apologize for all the persons that were waiting for the trick.
You can contact him on his email : jasonring1@gmail.com

Stephane.

I still say it looks like a Bat with a cap pistol attachment.

Personally i think that you'd be better crossing the dragon and the gecko,

So you have a better vanish, AND and explosion :)

The video clip looks good. I saw it is available from MOM. I'll get one and try to give it a review in a few days.

Sorry it took me so long ! Here is my review :

Basic packaging, instructions are not very clear. Good thing, there were a video instruction link that helps a lot.

I was able to set up the vanishing part in a minute, but I could not set up to work the exploding part. It did not matter, as I was only interested in the vanishing device anyway.

Wow, the vanishing is so cool, so smooth. You show both hands empty, and without any move: Dude, it's gone. There are some angles, but nothing you cannot cover if you back up a little. I own a gecko, but it is not the same. The pull is so much easier to use, you can show both hands empty, you can load in front of the people at any time. I wish I could return my gecko.

I did not like to set up the dragon. Tricks should be sold ready to perform. However, once set, the dragon is smoking hot.

My 2 cents

Special refills? I wouldn't say special. It does come with everything you need to vanish more then a few times. The explosive refill is not included and is additional. But easy and cheap to find.

Ah, ok. Not a fan of the explosion, but I hate Gecko refills.
