Close enough...

Righty, the solution to "What did he see?" was... Himself.

His brother was also his identical twin, and when he stumbled, bloody, high and drunk into his study, he locked the door behind him, and then turned around... and looked into a full-length mirror.

He saw, through the haze of intoxication, what was apparently his brother, whom he had just killed - which was enough to create the look of terror and catalyse the suicide.

...

hmmm... like I said, melodramatic and not entirely plausible, but there you go.

The house was completely dark as Michael and Andrew knocked on the front door. "As I said," murmured Michael, "This is not like her at all. She hasn't answered her phone all day, and being late for our date is totally out of character." Michael tried the door and found it unlocked. They stepped into the front hall and called out, but there was no answer. Andrew tried the front light switch, but nothing happened. "I'll try the light at the other end of the hall"he said, feeling his way along the wall. Andrew flipped the switch, casting light on the body of Jenny sprawled across the hall floor. She had been shot in the back.

Which of these two killed her?

Andrew - else how would he have known the light switch was there?

You wont find much better anywhere and it's nothing - a rigmarole with a few bits of paper and lots of spiel. That is Mentalism

Surely if it hadn't been him he would have tripped over the body in the dark...? But he knew where to step... :?:

Why whould they even want to turn on the light?
if it is dark it means she's out or w/e. Andrew was the one who tried bouth switches, becouse he knew he was on the floor and wanted Michael to see it too , and that way have an aliby

yes, because when the light comes on , the body is in the middle of the floor in the hall. He would have knocked against it or fallen over it in the dark. He knew it was there, so he deliberatly stepped over it.

Let me hijack here with a new one.

A mother is 21 years older than her son.
In 6 years the mother will be exactly 5 times older than her son.

Question: Where is the father ?

x : x + 21
5(x + 6) = .... Pub!

No idea but if you figure it out, the mother's lawyers would like to hear from you....

Where is the father? Where did you leave him?

Things are generally in the last place you look, so if you look there first he should be there.

I won't take any responsibility for his... condition though.

Age of mother: 20.25 years old
Age of son: -0.75 years old!

In six years, the son will be 5.25 years old while his mother will be 26.25, exactly five times older.

If the son is -0.75 years old NOW then the father is probably at this moment lying on top of the happy soon-to-be mom (or whatever style he/she prefers ;) )
