The Pendragons

Postby Mandrake » Jan 26th, '09, 13:44

Well know for the fastest Metamorphisis in history (plus Charlotte's scanty attire!), the Pendragons have released 3 DVDs of their routines, interviews and explanations. Alakazam have them, and a link to a promo vid which is well worth seeing:

The Magic of the Pendragons
by Charlotte and Jonathan Pendragon and L&L Publishing

Stage illusionists historically have been extremely secretive about their craft. Not just about the secrets to the illusions themselves-the mechanics are just a small part-but about the real secrets of what turns a stage illusion into a breathtaking moment of pure magic.

Now, for the first time ever on video, Jonathan and Charlotte Pendragon, the "First Couple" of magic and perhaps the greatest exponents of grand illusion ever to grace a stage, lift away the veil and show you the real secrets of stage illusion -the insider information that could only be gained by performing in over 50 countries for the last quarter of a century.

Sadly some of those illusions have been exposed by the Masked Eejit but at a penny under £25 for each 2 hour DVD, I think these may very well go on my wish list!

Holy F**k there is a god! I saw metamorphosis when I was browsing youtube 12 hours ago and prayed PRAYED I would one day find out how it was done.
This is it I'm no longer atheist I have proof there is a god and its the Pendragon's.
Is this available now? Is there a link?

Invoke not reason. In the end it is too small a deity.

The link is embedded into the Alakazam e-mail news letter, I tried extracting it but no success - it's a Murphy's Magic Demo but you might get the link via the Alakazam website. I believe they're on sale now - other distributors may have them at some point - if there are any left for Blackpool I can see them selling very swiftly!

I suppose it was inevitable that J and C would pass on the nitty gritty at some point, since his accident a year or so ago Jonathon said it took a lot of effort to get back to performance level, they both move so fast it must be exhausting and, let's face it, we're all getting a little older each day and there's a limit as to how long anyone can perform to such a level of excellence.

The Head Twister illusion is super and the gizmo is about half the size of the one exposed by the Masked Magician recently - the Pendragon version is far more convincing!

Just look on it as encompassing a new, healthy and more spacial type of diet.

Costas at WorldMagic says he hasn't had time to put these on the website yet but he has stock - that's TM, always ahead of the game  !

Just seen the Pendragons on America's got Talent. Not a bad effect and went down well with the crowd. Jonathan even showed his arrow wound ala Jaws LOL

"During a fall at his home in late September 2006, one of the arrows from Jonathan's archery collection pierced his liver, his stomach, and his heart. It happened while rehearsing a dangerous trick for his upcoming show involving a compound bow and arrow. He has since made a full recovery"

The Hoff loved them..

I saw them on americas got talent a few weeks ago, no one else in the room knew who they were. I was shocked to see them on it. When the Hoff said you're going to vegas I nearly spat my drink out. It's not the first time they've been there is it

well, thats the way that television wanted the public to hear about the accident.

the true version is actually very different.
