Cost

£15 direct from RSVP Magic. I’ve seen these advertised by some dealers at around £28 per DVD and I’ve not found the RSVP price bettered.

Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)

Between 2 and 5 (still relatively easy for a worker but those with less expereince may be a little nervous about some of the 'moves' needed such as the bottle production and a deck change. However, all are explained very well)

Review

This DVD carries on from where volume 1 finishes (see http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/ftopic29036.php for a review of part 1) and being picky, it would have been better to film a different intro for this DVD rather than repeating the intro from the volume 1

However, this DVD contains lots of common sense tips and advice and there’s so much to think about, you’re bound to forget something. This disc adds it all together in a very nice package to remind you – a sort of visual tick list.

There are some great routines on here that will get you noticed. Where volume 1 deals with quick-fire openers, this DVD shows and teaches some great closers such as a signed card in sealed bottle which is produced from a spectators jacket. Also, there’s a very nice transpo routine which I will be playing around with over the next few days and weeks, not to forget the bonus Razor Sharp routine by Shaun McCree the value of these highly commercial routines are worth the price of the DVD alone.

Some of the content may sound a little cheesy and obvious but it does need to be included for the sake of completeness.

This DVD added to volume one makes the pair a great set to have, particularly for the novice but also for the experienced worker who wants to recap and check the content against what he or she may be doing.

Overall

This is a great DVD on its own but with volume one this becomes a must-have for anyone who is starting out or isn’t getting the bookings.
As a set, this title surpasses Martin Sanderson’s first Commercial Close-up DVD and at around £25 this is much better value. I still love the Sanderson DVD and if you can afford all three then I would strongly recommend that you go for the three as you’ll then have all of the information that you need to get you going, as well as some great routines that will definitely entertain.

As a single DVD I rate this as a 9.0/10.

As a pair it’s a sure fire 10/10 for content and for value for money. Go to the RSVP web site and order yours.

Put in an order this evening for all 3 of the Corporate Close Up DVD's, and I must say, Russ (Of RSVP Magic) is a pleasure to deal with.

Yes - he's a good bloke and I met him at Blackpool last year. Some of my good friends know him well and speak highly of him which is always a good sign.
