Seeing as 13 Steps has its own forum, is it possible for MMM to have a forum, too? I think a book of this size and depth (literally!) would really benefit from its own discussion area. For whatever reason, MMM appears to have been somewhat overlooked on TM; perhaps a dedicated forum would encourage owners of this great book to come forward and discuss it. There is so much material in MMM that I think it would of huge benefit to people if there was an area to share ideas and tips.

Just out of interest, how many here have the MMM book?

Good point, Mandrake. I guess 13 Steps is much more popular than MMM. I will start a poll to see if there is sufficient interest in this idea.

It is on my 'must buy' list.

I have it - of course I do - I suspect many do here - but I think to have a room to discuss every book is going to be a bit silly.

Not that it was suggested for every book, but where do we stop. There are 1001 special books out there - what about Tarbell? A foum for each volume?

I think perhaps if we start said discussions in the mentalist area and they grow to such an extent they warrant a room of there own, then and only the should we consider it.

that is what I think.

If we're confessing now dale I've never read royal road to card magic. I got it when I was young and couldn't comprehend it, its somewhere back in London now.

Dale- I am truly amazed - I thought you had one of the best stocked magic libraries going - and now I hear you don't have MMM? Is the world colapsing around me?

It might be more appropriate to have a "library" section, where we establish a protocol, maybe, for discussing specific tomes. The trouble there, I guess, is that it invites exposure.

Oh, and I has copy.

 I'll go one better... I still have some of the original manuscripts from the 70s & 80s that T.A. put out long before the compilation of the book

Bear in mind that most of the pros view MMM as being "the next step" following Corinda, Annemann, etc. "Intermediate" level studies. Too, it is very controversial material in the mind of some, in that T.A. really wasn't that much of a real world performer in life. Rather, a great conceptionalist and technical coach for others, which was a role he filled wonderfully.

I do believe this would be a great course of action but I fear that it could prove a bit dumbfounding in cases of those not yet prepared for this facet of "advanced" thinking around traditional Mentalism.
