Sorry you've experienced a problem with your book. Lulu are generally good with print quality but occasionally errors slip though. If you contact them through the support section of their website (pm me if you need more specifics) they should send you a replacement copy.

think I'll hang on to it, might be worth a bit in years to come.

Robbie: I know - I keep meaning to sort out a Leftie version but I've been really busy sorting out the sequel, Plot Twists. Hopefully I can publish one in the future.

Reverend: that's cool, though I can't promise it'll be worth as much as, say, a misprinted Penny Black stamp!

n.b. Luke Dancy recently informed me that my Free Money In Every Pack was pre-dated by his Free Candy in Half-Baked magazine (2001). I show my material to multiple magicians before release to try and avoid re-invention but sometimes things still slip through. Sooo, I'll be replacing it with another routine in future editions. I'll also set up the replacement trick as a pdf so that those who already have The Plot Thickens won't miss out.

Mandrake, please revoke my membership of this forum <sigh>. I don't think I've ever spent as much money in so short a time in my life! :P Either that or just stop me accessing the reviews section. I've already spent £50 this week on magic books and now I make the mistake of reading this one! Thanks a bunch.

I'm going to order mine from Mr Danata tomorrow :D

EDIT - I couldn't wait. Just ordered from Mike. Flippin online shopping...mutter...book better be worth the money...mutter...mutter....always in trouble with the wife....mutter...it's that Dave T's fault...

hello again,

I'm currently running a competition (linked to Plot Twists, the upcoming sequel to The Plot Thickens) that I thought some members may be interested in, so I thought I'd mention it here.

The prize is to have your name immortalised in print. The winner will lend their name to a spectator in the description of a trick in the new book. They will also receive a signed copy of the book.

Peeps can enter by emailing me at oliver@olivermeech.co.uk with 'competition' as the subject line.

The closing date is 30th June 2009 (now only a week away). I'll also add you to my mailing list to receive a free ebook and fortnightly newsletter (if you'd rather not receive these, just say so in your email).

n.b. If you're already on my mailing list you can still enter - just send me an email.

I'll randomly select the winner in early July and announce it in my newsletter.

Thanks and good luck!

Oliver
