The Effect
What they say:
"Free Will of Order is the effect that you will want to perform when you need a sure-fire, audience inclusive, intensely memorable piece that works anywhere, anytime. Impromptu, unless you want to have the revelation pre-written.
So clean, so simple, you will leave them blown away by your revelation.
Any selected spectator comes forward to help you. You produce three objects and a prediction written on the back of a business card. The objects can be your own or borrowed... A watch, a coin and a writing pen. There are no gimmicks involved, just technique.
The objects are displayed on top of your outstretched hands, behind your back. The spectator picks up any two objects, one in each hand, leaving you with only one object. You turn around, and have them make one more, final move with one object.
The revelation is read aloud, and the description of what happened is exactly as it happened. Not only the positions of the objects, but the order that these events took place. The stunned gasps and reactions are amazing! The skeptics will be talking about this one for hours.
Since it uses objects that are always available, I do this one everywhere and it always kills."
Cost
$17.50 (About £12 to the Brits amongst us)
Difficulty
(1=easy to do, 2=No sleights, but not so easy, 3=Some sleights used,
4=Advanced sleights used, 5=Suitable for experienced magicians only)
This is a tough one...although no sleights are used, this effect is almost entirely reliant on presentation. I'd give this a 2...ish.
Review
Free Will by Deddy Corbuzier has grown and grown on me. So much so that I don't leave home without some ESP cards and a prediction.
I've been searching for other ways to improve this already brilliant effect, and trying to turn the weaker choice into something a little stronger...
I was pointed towards Jimmy Fingers Free Will of Order.
After dithering over the "pay now" button, I finally did it.
This is an 8 page PDF manuscript which you are instantly directed to after paying. Although £12 does sound steep for this, and to a point I must agree, the handling you get, and the very different take you get on the original Free Will is wonderful.
I spent an evening playing this through, and was performing this the next day. I tried alternating between Free Will and Free Will of Order, and I must say, the later got a greater response...in the impromptu situations (particularly when the objects were borrowed!).
It is adaptable and you can be seen to pysycally write the prediction with the objects to hand...just make sure you have a pen...those with this will know why

This is one of those strong impromptu effects that I can add to my quiver, without adding anything extra to my pockets.
For Mentalists, this is one to consider!
Overall
I would recommend this effect. Although I personally feel the cost is a little high, for performers who love Free Will, this is definitely something to consider musing over.
7/10 The cost lets this down, but thats all (and probably just me, being skint and all!)
