It doesn't matter - just make sure you're consistent with the suits you do choose.

If you need to be reminded, then you didn't know in the first place, so start again and learn it 'your way'!!!

Base your king orientation on the orientation of the Spade symbol on the deck's tuck box.

Also, if you're looking at ways to improve, try putting the kings further in the pack—and do a similar thing with the common choices—i.e. ace of spades etc.

Mainly, because I find it VERY suspicious when a speccy chooses a card, and it's the one nearest the top of the deck... far better to have them appear in the middle of the pack?

I tend to bury the AS, Kings, Queens, Jacks near the middle.
Still miserable, but ask me anyway...

This is a question with many answers, as everyone has their preferred way of stacking an ID.

Seige has a point, however my stack contradicts his version to an extent.

My Top and bottom cards on one side is an ace, and on the other side a Queen. I won’t go into more detail here, just incase i get told of for revealing more than I should. :D If anyone would like to know how mine is stacked, don’t hesitate to PM me.

I use the ID in nearly all my performances, and have done for the past 10 years. I have found that the best stack, is the one that helps you remember were all the cards are located. Also you are nearly always performing the ID to Lay People, so no matter what card is at the top, they will not consider it suspicious. Maybe I am wrong with this assumption, but it works for me.

I still have mine in the same order that it was bought and delivered in and have never had a problem and like Gochos I also use this all of the time.

An absolute classic and must have for the card magician!

With regard to handling I find that if I spread the deck with dry hands all the face down remain so but I can't get the face up to pop through. No grip.

However if I use QuickSort hand stuff the reverse is in play as too many of the cards show through when spreading through. Does anyone else suffer this?

I use Boris Wild's method where pairs add up to 14! and the end cards are 5clubs and 6clubs, so not much to give away, if someone saw it twice.

(Hope i haven't revealed anything)
