balloon workshops

Look at www.sempertexballoons.co.uk and click on 'care and share days'. I went to one of these a year ago as a complete beginner and got a lot from it. You'll find Graham Lee very helpful and his forum has lots of good balloon model instruction and ideas.

Keep popping...

Personally I'd far rather use a bag of Qualetex over Sempertex, but then it's all down to the individual...

Hi,

I bought a load of Qualatex ones (260Qs) with the intention of doing some modelling at the pre-school fayre - I've mastered a couple of swords in a matter of minutes and am superb at four legged mongrels......but really need to get some consistency in them. Luckily, my youngest son insists on untwisting anything I do, so I just keep retrying with the same balloon until it pops.

I have had a number of balloons that have developed small holes near the blow-up end - possibly in excess of 10% of the bag so far......so I'm starting to take note and will possibly complain if it gets any worse. Has anyone else had similar issues?

My fingers get sore with the tying though - I seem to have big fingers or these balloons are just "not quite right"!

Regards

Dave
