Review this is a must have for anyone wanting to perform card magic on stage it does not rely on fancy card flourishes and good lighting. All it relies on is good routines and confident slight of hand and of course Peter Wardells brilliantdry sense of humour. The higlights of this dvd are The Almanac. This is a wonderful take on the old story of the soldiers bible an amazing 13 card production with great patter.
The Green Baize Jungle: and amazing card cheat routine any fans of Darwin Ortiz will appreciate this demonstration of crooked gambling.
The Broad Tosser: A 3 card monte routine presented brilliantly and has a brilliant torn corner finnish.
The other great thing is during the explinations section of this dvd Peter gives credit for moves and cuts. This seems to be a rare thing to see these days it great to see credit being given where it is due. The explinations are well presented and taught by Peter.
If there is one down side to this dvd i would have to say maybe just the angles the performance section was filmed at but was filmed live in a club.Don't worry though the effects are still strong and the explinations are very well filmed in a studio.
Overall: If you are wanting to learn how to perform card magic on stage rather than close up this is the dvd for you. even though these routines are Peters routines the moves learnd and way it is performed will give you ideas for routines of your own and really inspire you it did me.
