Well i've finally been using Ideck, and whilst it is excellent I do find that those loud sound farts can be quite embarrassing when at a urinal and someone is obviously a bit perturbed at the sound of Amy Winehouse.

Notwithstanding this, this highly visual and quirky prop is something that is so commercial it really is a bag of fun to use.

Again, just to say "iPod shuffle" has given me an immense amount of pleasure.

Glad to hear it, Rufio.

Haven't used mine for a while but just because I need a new audience really.

It does have a habit of going off when I'm carrying my bag of stuff around. You just have to pretend it's your mobile phone (and then...er...explain why you have chosen to ignore it?)!

Have these sound probs been fixed in a more recent version or does it still go off? Just ordered one so I'll find out in a few days. If the problem persists, anyone come up with a really good solution?

Anyone still use this? I bought it but found that I prefer something a little more minimal. This kind of has so much humour "built in" that I wonder if the performer may feel like there's no room to be funny. Just a thought... could be completely wrong!

I now know however that you can take out the batteries, to avoid those impromtu "Oops, I Did It Again" moments.

I still use it. Gets great reactions despite being a little bit fiddly.

Did my first ever stage show recently and used it for an encore as I didn't want to wear it all night. Unfortunately as I legged it off stage and back on I put the bloody thing the other way up to how I usually have it so it took an age for me to trigger it. Then when I went into the 2nd song, I wasn't sure if I'd switched it right and amidst all the befuddled switching, played the same song again.

Fortunately I could laugh it off as everything else had gone to plan to that point.

As for other humour - well the "I'll give the cards an iPod shuffle" is priceless alone. You can also read some of the cards aloud and when you get to "Lady in Red", give the audience a "whatever!" look and just drop that one!!

If you're into "spooky" card tricks... use the iDeck gimmick in conjunction with tuning a radio. Over the static, the spec will hear a ghostly voice whispering their card to them.

I like that idea!

I've bought mine and never used it. Maybe I should experiment with this.

What's a tuning radio? Just a normal radio that you tune with a dial, ie not a newfangled digital radio? Or something specific?

Just find a radio you can tune manually (so you can hear the static) - find a "less intense" static sound and then reveal the card (keep your hand on the tuning dial).
