The usual format for activation e-mails from TM is

http://www.talkmagic.co.uk/profile.php?mode=activate&u= followed by the specific user references which are along the lines of *****&act_key=***************

Well, don't. It's been posted all over the web. It links back to a site registered in China. It looks like a fairly standard attempt to recruit machines into a botnet via insecure browsers.

I know they are bad and everything but does anyone else think the concept and application of a botnet is actually kind of ingenious and more than a little bit cool?

Definitely.

I just think there's more exciting stuff can be done with the same technology. Stuff like being able to control your computer with your phone, being able to access your computer from anywhere in the world or even share your computer screen. Or even a peek device. More in the restricted area for that actually!
