The Shark - Magic Geek

Postby TheBlackBandit » Dec 17th, '09, 16:37

I've never bought from these people before and was waiting for a review on what looks to my untutored eye to be an incredible gimmick.

The Shark allows a card trapped between two others to visually morph into a different card with just a shake of the hand.

Is there any chance we could get a review?

Just below the surface of any deck... waiting to strike.

A card completely changes while trapped between two other cards. The change is visual, instant, angle-proof, and happens in plain sight. The card can is instantly examinable and can even be signed.

The Shark uses a utility gimmick that will open up a sea of possibilities.

The Effect

The shark gimmick has multiple effects ,visual vanishes, color changes, and it can switch a card to later reveal it in someones hand... the only down side of this is that u can only do a color change with 1and the same begin card, in my case its always a 10 of clubs, the card it changes into can be different everytime...

Cost

For 30 euro's u get the dvd with multiple routines vanishes, color changes etc. also u get 1 blue backed gimmicked card

Difficulty

1=easy to do, only thing that you need to do is a DL but i suppose everybody that comes here can do a DL... the visual color change is just spreading the cards and it changes... very visual and soooo easy to do!

Review

The shark is a simple to use gimmick and it can upgrade your 3 card monte to a funny ending where the middle card suddenly dissapears...
you can use it as a ending of ambitious or a ultimate sandwich..

Overall

for 30 euro's you should buy it:)

this is my first review ever!:P so if u need any questions i missed to mention go ahead:P

Great review, just one or two pointers.

I don't know how close to the line you can tread with the method, better to be safe than sorry, and not mention something like a D***** L***, even though most (all) of us know how to do one.

Secondly, what are you waiting for? Copy and paste this into the reviews 'tricks and props' section, and get it some exposure. Remember to include the effect and the manufacturer in the title line.

And finally, I'd love to know (asides from the value for money) what you thought of the trick. Did it perform well? What were audience reactions like? How versatile is it?

Other than these tiny things, great first review and I look forward to reading more from you.

Looks like there are some nice effects here. Can you obtain extra gimmick cards to avoid 'dissapearing' the same card.

You can buy refills for this trick I have performed it and the people I performed it to loved it.

Fancy seeing you here Pauline's Pens! Did you buy this? A magician friend of mine only just told me about it - never even seen it before.

I know how it works. Apparently the downsides are that the gimmicked cards wear out pretty quickly (though you can buy replacements) and you can't get red-backed ones - always a bit of a pain if like me you nearly always use red decks.

And yes, Dave, the replacement gimmicks can be for different cards, all blue-backed though.
