My new promo mostly shot at a corporate gig at a football stadium. Let me know what you think. Comments are greatly welcomed.

I thought that it was really really good.

What I liked was that it had quite a bit of variety in it - nice one!

though very good - how would it look i wonder, if you could fit in a very visual effect from start to finish somewhere in the middle?

cos you have loads of really strong reactions on show - i think maybe showing a full routine may pique the interest even more...

i wanted to provide constructive criticism, rather than just say "great job".... :D

Cheers guys, much appreciated. Iain, to be honest the footage I included was pretty much all the was useable. An old editing term 'you can't polish a turd' springs to mind. A mate filmed it who hasn't had the experience of some & seemed to move the camera too much. Effect footage was something I wanted but at the same time not wanting to show too much. My idea was to show people having fun & reactions in my advertising.

I am hoping to get more footage this year to improve this one where I can. Many thanks for your input, constructive comments is what I was after as well as praise from respected members.

Thanks again guys,

Russ

Hi Russpie;

I enjoyed watching your video, would agree it would be nice to see an effect end to end somewhere in the middle.

Also, if it's a promo video, I think you should provide your contact details if people want to book you. I didn't see a reference to a web site, email address, mobile etc... ?

My 2 cents.

Thank you for sharing.
LP.

Hi LP. It was made primarilly for my website which is where all my details are. It is also on MySpace & Facebook where people can get to me. I have added the website details to the You Tube page after you pointed it out. I know what you mean though, maybe it should've gone on the end of the video.

I like it, definitely caught some great reactions.

My own criticism, and it's a very small one, is that it looks as if the large majority of the footage comes from one venue. Whilst I know it's not possible to film every single set you do, it may be nice to mix it up with some outdoors stuff or perhaps somewhere that is starkly different etc.

Great job though, very professional

Thanks for that. You're right, most was from the same venue with a little from the original promo to pad out a few places. The reason being that it was a charity do for a friend of mine so in exchange for magic I got to take a camera operator friend & film the guests. This isn't something i'd do at a paid gig as it can be quite daunting having a magician in your face let alone a camera ontop of that. I appreciate your comments though & if I get all charitable again in the near future i'd definitely get it filmed again.
