Hi all,
Although ACB has now arrived, I haven't yet been able to try it first hand (for reasons that will become clear), but I can share my first impressions until such time as I'm able to write a proper review.
First and foremost, it's important to stress that this is a DIY product.
Get that: you need to build it yourself.
No gimmick is provided, save for a few paperclips and a couple of magnets, and I'm not exposing anything in saying that, because there's so much more that you need to buy and provide yourself.
Budget for an additional spend of around £5 upwards - possibly a tenner.
If you hope to get good results from this, then it seems clear that the gimmick you build will be fairly large (but still palmable). It's not hidden in plain sight, as the Coinvexed gimmicks are, so a certain degree of confidence is required if you hope to pull off these effects. If you can confidently handle a dye tube, palmo ball, or any similar device that remains concealed in the hand, then you'll be okay with this.
I don't yet have the first-hand experience to support this notion, but it seems like the guy on the accompanying instructional DVD is putting a LOAD of effort into the bends, which doesn't fill me with an awful lot of hope for doing this real-time and on-the-sly.
The DVD is packed with lots of routines, but I honestly got bored after three or four, as I didn't have a working gimmick to play with at the time. From the ones I did see, however, little or no effort has been made to take audience heat off your hands while doing the dirty. Even if coins melted like butter with the ACB, I'd still want some serious misdirection worked into my presentation at that point.
So that's where I am right now.
DO NOT expect to use this straight out of the box, and be prepared for some head shaking and regretful glances at your credit card bill until you actually get to try it out and see whether it was worth the money, time and effort.
Pete
