I liked it. If I were to be critical, I'd say that your counts need work on to A) speed them up and B) to make them more fluid. I had an issue with your optical count at the end of the routine but the foundations are there. All in all I liked it

Jim's comments about the Elsmely are spot on; the slower the count is (within reason, of course), the more deceptive it is. Too fast and it's hard to tell what's going on - it's quite conceivable that you could have miscounted the cards in some way. The beauty of the count is that, done fluidly, it really does look as if you reverse counted all four cards - there's no need to rush.

So yes, the count is a little too fast. Also, what's with the extreme buckling you make each time you Elmsley? It's quite distracting, a little suspicious-looking and needlessly damages the cards.

Other than that, it's a nice little routine - just slow down a little, and try fine-tuning your Elmsley.

Dear members of TK who commented on this little routine,

Thank you for your viewing and the valuable analyses, comments on the speed of my Emsley was most valuable. That count is what I have to work on still, next to at times slightly sloppy handling and rather tense buckling. Total control by the four fingers (pinky to index) of the cards is tensing up the view. Also some hesitation, since I was improvising, can be detected.

Comments how other magicians perceive live uncut self recordings helps me a lot as anyone, I suppose, who wants to clarify his own selfperception via camara. Also here I at times blink, like many beginners exercising in front of the mirror.
