The Magic and Mirth Show - 2010 Tour

Postby Mark Waddington » Tue Mar 02, 2010 11:31 am

Old versus Young, Tall versus Short, Lancashire versus Yorkshire, Good versus Evil, brains versus beauty…. Which ever pairing you choose, this new combination of Talent seems at first glance seems a little strange; An up and coming young magician and an aging chubby old greying comic working together in less than perfect harmony to bring entertainment to the good people of the UK.

Mark Waddington and Clive Cope are the most unlikely of duos around. Both have completely different backgrounds and experiences in the world of showbiz, both are at completely separate ends of the age spectrum, ones good looking (that’s Mark, in case you were wondering!) and one looks like he lost a fight with a frying pan, but these guys don’t let that get in the way of bringing you one of the funniest shows on the circuit.

The show is a mix of laughs, amazement, and slapstick, all brought together to give you a perfect night out!

Anyway, more about the two rogues in question!

Mark Waddington – the Cheeky Trickster, is a young award winning comedy Magician who already has racked up years and years of experience in the industry, and is fast becoming known as one of the brightest magical talents around. Mark started performing professionally at the tender age of 12 years old, and instantly became a hit. Still relatively young (well, in his 20’s – which is a lot younger than Clive anyway!), he will suspend your belief with his mind blowing magical talents.

Clive Cope – the Comedy Heavyweight, has been working the circuit for several years as a comedian and guest speaker, and regularly works in some of the top hotels within the UK. Clive has built up a large fan base from working the hotels because of his great talent for comedy. He is truly a top bloke (he made me say that…) and will have you rolling in the aisles with his observational humour (he made me say that, too).

So, having said that, I’m sure you will agree that this duo is something special! The rivalry between old and young, Lancashire and Yorkshire makes the great base for “The Magic and Mirth Show”, a deceptively funny night out!

Preview date - 30th April. Skipton, North Yorks

Touring from 29th May 2010. Watch this space for the dates, which will be released very, very soon.

come down south Mark :)
there are several good 300 seat venues in my area, all of which do well when a magic show goes in.

windsor Arts centre, windsor, the west wing arts centre in slough.. Desborough hall and Norden farm, maidenhead.

all have good facilities.Chris Cox plays Norden farm, as did Geoff Durham.
Ian Keeble has played windsor arts centre, as has Chris Dugdale.. though naturaly, not at the same time. :)

and teh beauty of playing this area, is that your slap bang in the middle of several magic clubs.. Home Counties, Basingstoke, Watford, and Zodiacs are all potential audiences. :)

Somewhere in the East of England would be nice.

Peterborough preferably but if it has to be Milton Keynes then I can drag myself reluctantly down the A1. :)
